Need to set to max height and get some tall knobby truck tires (Rally mud flaps, ...) 😁👍

@Pallidus_Rider I need to put the AWD drivetrain with the 2ZZ and make it an old school Corolla GR!

The fit and finish of these coils are quite good! The springrates appear to be tooooooo firm though :-( Wish they would offer some customization so we can choose softer springs with dampers to match.
@BrandonStellmach Жыл бұрын
They are decent for the price! Definitely would be much nicer if you could change the springs!

Yea I had the exact same problem with the rear in my 06 corolla real huge disappointment, they sent me smaller dampers and it still was too high not low enough
@BrandonStellmach Жыл бұрын
Yeah this is why they are much cheaper then other brands, they do lower the car, but no where near what other brands lower!
@ChandlerGarcia9710 ай бұрын
I’ve had these on my corolla for exactly a year, my top strut nuts stripped on both sides on the front dampers! Check them!! I saw so many metal shavings it’s crazy, never buying this brand again 👎🏼

How do you like them? They sent me a set for my Scion xB but the ride quality was terrible. I ended up putting the TRD lowering springs and struts back on.
@BrandonStellmach Жыл бұрын
I haven’t driven on them enough to give them a fair review so far. Definitely will give an update on how these are, after driving with them more.

I had the same issue with ride height on the rear coil overs not going low enough. I swapped out the top hats from my factory struts. They are about 3 inches longer than the top hats that come on the Max Speedingrods rear coil overs. Doing this gave me the ability to drop the rear height to where I have one finger gap between tire and rear fender.

Hey when did you arrive at your comfort level with all the mods? I'm just curious. I think so many people are intimidated by mods, even "simple" mods, but when you realize that the worst that can happen is fixable, things seem easier. I remember getting to that "oh well" level of comfort. Of course some mechanical ability, which you have - or have developed- is required, but sometimes it seems we dont do things out of fear, clearly something you've overcome. Anyway, if you have answered this before, just point me to it. Really I'm just curious about how you got to where you are with "mod comfort level". As I've said before, fun to watch.

The courage to do things came from just slowly moving from simple things like changing out headlights and tail lights. And slowly moving to more in depth mods like coil overs and headers. And after doing it a few times, I feel pretty confident doing most things on cars. Another factor that plays into having confidence is having an extra car so it is not as much of a rush to try and finish and have to drive to work the next day!

Hey dude idk if youll see this but where did you get those spacers? Just curious cause i want them for my 2009 corolla

These were the spacers I bought for that car. But it looks like they are currently unavailable, but that should get you all the information for which ones you need. amzn.to/3Alyzf7
