I live in a big city and nobody plays here. And I’m downtown. No parks or university has players. So I would have to solo raid mewtwo. There is no solution unless I wanna drive 3 hours

When you use the purified gems, you have to wait before attacking the boss, otherwise the gem will not be used, just stop taping on the screen.

The first raid he did was so hard to watch.. he didnt even try using the purified gems he tapped them maybe 3 times and kept using foul plays. Your moves will do nothing dont even try attacking just use purified gems and wait

the elite raids were a test by Niantic to see player appetite for local raids. since they saw enough promising data, they are releasing these kinds of raids.

I know that the Niantic choice of local raid has been controversial. However, I have never seen so many groups of people in my city, running, shouting and chatting TOGETHER to take down this crazy legendary. I for one agree to this change… at least 60% agree

@@seen72 i missed one because i had to swap out moves and missed out on a raid but caught 2. I was alone tho so it was a bit hard driving around and figuring out where there was a raid i could join. I had so much trouble finding groups still tho😭. I’ll try tmr and hopefully have more luck

In my town, we are usually only 15-30 people meeting up on Wednesdays at raid hour, depending on the raid boss and the weather. Today we started out at 10 am with at least four groups with around 20 raiders each and, after we had split up in mostly team-based groups, we met plenty other groups throughout the day just out playing together in the fantastic weather. I never thought I'd see this many people out playing in my town again. It's been years, before I started playing, so I'm pleasantly surprised with the results of Niantic's recent decisions. Managed to do 22 raids with a few decent catches, the best being a 13/13/15. Only one very sad shiny though. Sadly I won't be able to raid much tomorrow though but I hope to do a couple raids in the morning, gotta have that shashundo!

Something to note is that there are raid hours for Mewtwo; one at 5pm, another at 7pm. At least, that happened on Saturday. Not sure if the same would occur on Sunday.

You can definitely duo shadow Mewtwo with good enough counters, and most importantly counters adapted to the moveset. I have been able to do it against Psycho cut/Ice beam, which is not quite the easiest, but not irrationally hard either. The main difficulty resides in timing your gems right so that two players make it up to 8 quick enough. We actually had to try a second time because we had poor timing using our gems at first

About the math btw, I'm pretty sure the chance of getting a Hundo after purifying is 1/(1000-26), which isn't 1/37. If it was 1/37 it would be hella cracked, but that's 1000/27 which isn't the same as just taking out the 26 possibilities (no need purify if Hundo already). Either way the video's a banger, keep releasing BT!!!!!

Hey Brandon, as i was just watching this video I battled a Team Leader Cliff and found my first ever Shadow Shiny it was a Shadow Shiny Larvitar with 15 13 13 ivs. I was wondering if I should purify it into a shundo or keep it shadow and make it Tyranitar? Please give me your thoughts on this.

Not really an option until bis Mega comes out - save it until then Or you Make a Budget Decision - do you have the candy for leveling up as a Shadow? But I would keep it as a Shadow - more valuable, Stronger and and with high IVs you can just keep Leveling until you run out of Candy or its Lvl 50

While i am glad people are able to get so many raid in, they really make you have to pretty much spend the whole day or several hours just driving around or walking around to gyms for the hope of running into a gym that even had a shadow mewtwo to fight. Really makes it hard for people with families in which not all of their family members play to do this since you cant just take that much time out to just drive around or walk around.

Apparently shadow tyranitar is better and makes duo possible. It tanks enough time for each player to throw 4 purified gems

Shadow Tyranitar has similar dps as Darkrai, with a better matchup vs Flamethrower. It could already duo regular Mewtwo, and shadow Mewtwo is 20% more glassy than regular Mewtwo. What really can be an issue is the subduing phase if you don't manage to sync up your gems

I got a shiny shadow mewtwo on my 5th and final raid of the day, bad IVs, but whatever, it’s rad. I have enough to field a whole team now, so that’s awesome. One of the random folks out there had just gotten out of the hospital after a transplant, couldn’t catch him on an earlier raid, so I gave him some tips and he caught it, yelled so loud all the people around thought he caught a shiny 😂

That's what I think Niantic is being myopic about...There's either the I LIVE IN THE STICKS AND NO ONE IS HERE problem or the NO ONE PLAYS HERE EVEN IF THERE'S A LOT OF THESE RAIDS AVAILABLE. Remote raiding made the community better, not worse.
