Over my years of playing Pokemon Go, I’ve met many different type of players who play the game differently from each other. Today, we take a look at what it seems to be the craziest account that a player by the name, Elia, has played for the last 6 years that I’m sure 99.99% of the players wouldn’t think of playing it in this manner too. This is Team Harmony.

Quite the opposite actually, I find it inspiring! So much so I've created my own Team Harmony account :) level 28 currently and going strong. It's actually rather nice as it forces you to play the game in other ways. It's harder but feels more rewarding

Im yellow and we had it quite hard at first year when people were actually motivated to keep the gyms colored their way to get more coins...it was quite harsh. But today its quite the breeze, especially if you have a local deal with your neighbour in a small city to switch gym every few hours.

it was made a lot easier with the addition of friends to the game because of the massive exp drops you get. I was originally trying to keep my account not on a team but there was a convention I went to with friends and i passed out when with my phone one and when I woke up the next morning my account was on a team. Now I'm not sure if it was just unlucky and my phone was basically "butt dialed" or one of my friend put me on a team but when i confronted them the following morning everyone said they didnt. But what made the game hard too is my account is f2p and if you arent going to be on a team you basically have to pay at some point to progress or lose out on a lot of mons. what makes staying off of a team hard iirc is if you touched a gym you would need to restart the app because i think the professor will give you the dialogue to pick a team and you cant leave.

Niantic have been telling people how to play the game for years, like live in a big city, have loads of friends that play the game, limiting events to certain parts of the world but niantic are all for fairness apparently.

That's a bit frustrating that Niantic told him he's playing the game "wrong". Clearly the game still works just fine with him playing as is, in fact, I find it super interesting. Good for him, I'm glad he's found his own way to enjoy the game :D

This is insanely cool dedication. But Niantic does have a point, the intended design of the game is to select a team and because of this many features are locked behind this barrier. It would be very hard for them to make massive exceptions for a single player or even a tiny percentage of the player base. Still very cool, but he always has the option to select a team if he wants access to these features, its not like they are locked entirely :)

I fully disagree. The idea that Niantic shouldn’t update the research lines to support all game play is disrespectful at best. At worst it is targeting and hateful. Everybody knows that there is a small % of players who refuse to evolve until they have multiple of the same Pokémon. Because of cosmog research required to evolve cosmog, eventually Niantic changes the research line to make it so you could evolve any phycic pokmon. There is a small % of players who refused to evolve cosmog, but why should it matter if there are even less people who refuse to do a raid. The fact that Niantic changed the research for one small group of players and not an other small group of players even if that other group is smaller would qualify as discrimination. Niantic should be required to change every single raid required research line. 100%!!!! Everyone should be outraged.

Actually you can obtain Darkrai and Deoxys even without doing raids. Just wait untill they come back in 5* raids and when they appear in raids, play GBL. And You will have the chance to obtain those Mythical from GBL rewards. ✌🏼

Agreed. Also he should be able to complete all special research tasks without raiding. If special research can be changed for a small % of players refusing to evolve cosmog for one single research then it is discriminatory for Niantic to NOT change the special research required for Raiding. Why do it for just for evolving but not for Team Harmony!!!!! I’ll sign for sure. It seems it wouod be easy to update L40-L50 with raid alternatives.

What is also impossible is the Pokémon appraisal feature - they can never see the Pokémon’s IVs (but can search 3*, 4*, etc)

It is and was possible to get Deoxys and Darkrai even in team harmony.I play Team Harmony aswell, I Have 5 deoxys in total (2 different doexys forms) and also 2 Darkrais (from battle league from 2021 and the beginning of 2022). Big respect to his big exp number I have only like 46m on lv 40 and like 66m in total.

For the mega energy, you could get a friend to mega evolve a pokemon and get it traded to you. That way the pokemon gets energy from walking. Never the less, quite an achievement :D

I think niantic should let these players put their one pokemon in a gym alone to defend, but no other pokemon can be added until defeated. Giving Harmony a way to get coins and build gym level. Thanks for making this video!

30:45 That's actually a disgusting ploy by Niantic, not letting players delete items and forcing them to play the game and/or buy more storage space. Lots of players that aren't even team Harmony would have had the same problem if they didn't have easy access to gyms. I'm glad they changed it, but I'm not forgetting about that.

This game is as fun as the player wants to make it. Not knocking him but can't imagine the game could be any fun always fighting the design and purpose of the game. If he truly enjoys a very limited aspect of the game then kudos but as a day one player who plays every event I personally find it hard to keep motivation to keep grinding.

In order to get legendary pokemon from go battle league you need to reach rank 20 that's how I got all my legendary pokemon in the beginning the only legendary pokemon I didn't get from go battle league was Suicune, Rayquaza, and Cosmog that I evolved into Lunala in the end that's not counting the Latios I got from research for the Hoenn tour the Suicune came from research during the Johto tour and the Rayquaza from a raid I did during the global Hoenn tour weekend and a Groudon from a raid I did during the global Hoenn tour weekend
