When quick catching on Android phones you dont need to hit the back button at the top of the screen after throwing the ball you can back out just from using either the back button at the bottom right of your screen or on newer phones just swiping from the right hand side of the screen. Makes it even faster!

Not a Pokemon Go tip - and excuse me if you already know this - but when you’re editing a Pokemon name to add a “!” at the beginning, you don’t need to delete it all, type the “!” then re type the name. If you tap and hold on the space bar on the on-screen keyboard it turns into a trackpad function, so you can tap and hold then once it changes slide left to move the cursor to the beginning of the Pokémon’s name. For other people reading this comment, that is true for both iPad/iPhone and for Android devices.

Postcard Tips: - You can pin and unpin your friend’s stickers on gifts to have it recorded in your postcard album for the scatterbugs. so that you don’t have to manually delete them later. - To mass delete postcards in your album, press and hold any postcard in your album and you will have the option to mass select (similar to mass selecting pokemon). Delete as required.

The stacked field research tip - just a note that it has a limit of 100 pokemon and if it exceeds, the oldest one will no longer be there anymore. As this is not a feature (it's a bug) that is not supported, it may be taken away any day. Just a risk we knowingly take.

Random question: When there is an event that spawns Zorua, and you set Zorua as your buddy, do you still get Zorua encounters, and will it transform into itself?

Before they put the option at the bottom of every Pokemon's screen, you could change your buddy instantly by going to your buddy history on the trainer screen instead of through the buddy selection screen.

Create a battle party of no pokemon (I call mine "Blank") so when you're in a raid with not enough players and players might back out at the last minute, you won't lose your raid pass when the raid starts. Just exit the raid.

Great summary of tricks, and I still learn something despite playing since 2016 (the sliding to POkédex and other screens). One thing : I find it strange that you chose the " ! " character for naming your raid Pokémon, since it has a meaning in the search strings. Why not using a "neutral" character?

The ! in the search string is a "not" but it only functions when other characters are typed with it, so searching just ! does kind of work as a "neutral" character.

You can save Pokemon that give more stardust and catch them all on a increased stardust spotlight hour (plus a star piece), I once saw someone hold a bunch of the same type for when he had a mega available and get more candy. Pretty much up to you to decide why. Most do it for the stardust.

I have to use two hands. One to hold one of the buttons and the other to catch. Once you throw the ball you can tap where the run button would be.

1 left finger hold the ball icon dont release just slide bring ur finger to the bottom left of ur phone screen, the use 1right finger to throw the ball. After throw the ball the ball catch the pokemon , release ur left finger that still holding. Then just tap anywhere on the screen then run button will pop up..
