Dont bother trying to clean it if youve got more than 100,000 miles . Itsnot a job you want to do twice. I done them before moving the dpf as far back as possble remember to remove temp sensor ( over £100 for a new one ) remove drive shaft . Turbo oil feed + return pipes and you should be able to slide it out

Hallo ! Wie lange Zeit war das ? Also ungefähr wie viel stunde ?

I do these with out taking off any parts other than loosening off the DPF, best time in just under 2 hours, no need to strip down the vehicle to that extent!!!!

Do you need to re program the valve or should it self learn?
@brandVEMO3 жыл бұрын
Hello Richard Bukowski, You need to adapt the EGR to the vehicle with the diagnostic tester. This process needs to be done, to ensure that the new EGR will be controlled properly by the control unit. A lot of testers have a specific program that you can run, to clear this step. Regards, Team VEMO

About 6/7 hours labour if you’ve never done one before. Not a job for the faint hearted ! Just done my sisters Audi a1 1.6 CR
@ally114886 жыл бұрын
Owen Rodwell - You did well to do it in that time. Mate of mine did the honours and it was a pure bastard taking around 9 hours. What a crazy place to put something that normally fails every 40,000 miles.
@owenrodwell16436 жыл бұрын
Lex772 I only dropped the subframe 2 inches. Was enough to get dpf out. A lot take it out completely. Probably saved an hours labour not taking it out tbf

@kas58576 жыл бұрын
Owen Rodwell could you explain the process please? How did you drop the subframe ? Just loosen the bolts? Did your old egr cooler show signs that it was leaking ? What part did you replace it with new or used and new gaskets ?

Hi. What does it mean "Teach-in the EGR valve to the controller"?
@wayne2519757 жыл бұрын
Ddr Mašnik it means to use VCDS to adat the new part through adaptation. basically teaching the new parameters of the new part to the ECM.

@brandVEMO4 жыл бұрын
Hello narinder maan, what do you mean exactly? How much time do you need to install a new EGR-Valve? How much money you need to spend to let someone else fix the cars EGR-Valve? Best regards, Team VEMO

Hello Propan Butan, it is nice that it went so much faster with your car. The work on VW Golf is unfortunately much more time consuming. Best regards, Team VEMO

I think they are confused. this is the cooler not the egr valve
@leopardrules6 жыл бұрын
I think you are confused... The valve is attached to the cooler, and it's pretty difficult to separate them without taking the whole assembly off the vehicle first.
@koggism5 жыл бұрын
Does the cooler and egr attached to it need to be replaced at the same time?
@rnewton95025 жыл бұрын
This isn’t the EGR.

this is EGR valve, i think u have not seen it before.
@ricardolourenco28145 жыл бұрын
This is the EGR with a coller incorporated. There are other models that have EGR without it and the location is different.
