I've put fabric and wonder under on my shopping list. Love that idea!

Great ideas. It also works with an adhesive sheet with cardstock and then run it though an embossing folder. It really seals the material to the cardstock & looks fabulous. ❤

Lovely cards! Here's a helpful tip: If you use a teflon sheet when ironing your fabric to your card stock and envelope, you won't have to worry about your iron or the ironing board getting melted glue all over it. Also you can use a heavier fusible fabric interface instead which will stabilize your fabric and then you can just glue it to your card stock. The glue will not seep through the interface. This is a technique used in hard cover books. It will be more cost effective than wonder under. 💜😃

You could also try saving the backing ( contact paper) between the glue flap and the folded envelope when you iron on the fabric. Make sure to put the correct side next to the glue. The side that releases from the Wonder Under needs to be next to the glue.

For those on a budget: $ Tree has card stock pks from Crafter's Corner, glue sticks from JOT .. 4 in one pack 1.25 !! They have pipe cleaners, googly eyes, confetti, rhinestones, tons of stickers, mini baskets, bead organizers, markers, clear stamp sets, (I thought were stickers...LoL I need to buy some ink) colored pencils, tons of stationary, graphic computer paper, foam dabbers, clay tools, school glues, foam strips, glue dots, fabric squares, flexible stencils, & so much more... They have really enhanced their craft section!! Posted Sept 25.2024 Question Can you use paint instead inks for stamping?

I like the cards with the sunflowers where the flower is in full view. Then adding the sentiment that is not covering any of the focal flower. I have purchased plates covered in decorative fabric at a craft show many, many years ago. As you say, there are so many good choices at the fabric store to use for this type of project. But for me, I prefer using designer paper for my cards. But if I saw these at a craft show, I might be tempted to buy some of the fabric cards or plates!

So many great ideas and comments. I used Wonder Under since the 70's when I had a fabric store. I use a sandwich of Parchment baking paper whenever I use an iron on any Freezer paper, wax paper, napkins etc. Nothing sticks to it. Then it doesn't get glue on my ironing board or iron. I plan to try Wonder Under on mesh fabric next. I am tired of going outside to spray adhesive on my cardstock for these and never know how well they are going to hold or dry.

very entertaining watching you discuss the fusible! I'm a quilter so it's an everyday thing for me but I'd never thought of trying to tell someone who'd never used it before all about it! The cards are awesome, love the idea of making a set as a gift. You might like to get a wool ironing pad to have handy with your craft iron rather than the sleeve board. It lies flat on your counter & comes in MANY sizes ex 8"x8" and up. Enjoyed your video. I'll go find the plate one now!
