I made quilted cards and inserted into photo cards and never thought about using Terial magic to make the insertion process easier or reduce fraying. Thanks for the idea!

So true, thanks for commenting! I recently made one for a friend's Celebration of Life service, it felt so different and an honor to make a fabric card for him. Not sure I will buy any cards now; I think fabric hand made cards say it all!

@@terialarts I am thinking of using this with my digital cutter to make shapes that are pre-cut for the cards. I have used it on the quilt pattern with the poppies from Terial Magic and it makes a huge difference!

@@kimharrington1764 Oh yes, Terial Magic treated fabric that is pressed and cut to mat size works very well for cut shapes! Make sure your mat is tacky and that the fabric is adhered to mat well. I also use a new cutting blade or a fabric blade when cutting fabric. Enjoy!!!

I started making fabric cards way back in 1989, but I started out using batting underneath ("Cloth Quotes" ) then I just used fabric like that.

Jan Sullivan Jan, thank you for asking! It’s my newest in-progress pattern, which I’ve named “Best Friends.” Actually, I’ll be working on it today. I drafted paper-piecing sheets for the skinny triangles, which avoids sewing those teeny points, not my thing anymore!🙂 I’ll announce when it’s available, on my FB and IG pages, and you can follow those on the Home page of my website, www.christinebarnes.com. I think this has been my favorite pattern to create. It was so much FUN to make the blocks, especially with Kaffe Fassett fabrics!

please be careful with your rotary cutter, always cut away from yourself and not towards yourself. Thanks for the great tip.

frenchstamper Thanks for commenting! Great point. However I cut toward myself because I feel that I have much better control of my hand and arm, and that I would never naturally bend my wrist so far that the cutter touches my body. If I cut away from my body, as they’ve told us to do for years, I feel that I run the risk of the the cutter jumping the ruler and cutting my fingers. The only time I cut myself with a rotary cutter was when cutting away.
