The Bikelane sign is a white bike on a blue background. The one you are showing is actually 'bikes prohibitted'. Which is weird, because it really does look like a bike lane.

It's a One-way. She points and looks to the ground and the marking is obvious with the arrow. It looks like they made a slight mistake with filming.

There is a "bike" sign and a direction arrow on the tarmac a 0:07. The "no bikes" sign points in the opposite direction - one way! Only legally blind people get excuses.

This woman is way too polite. The first time I wandered into a bike lane I was literally barked at and almost ran over by an irate cyclist. That was a fast and unforgettable lesson.

Been there, done that. First time in Berlin, got out of a taxi near Siemensstadt with coworkers and while one was paying we stood unknowingly in the bike line. You don’t ever make that mistake twice.

Funny! Because I've seen too many bikers biking on the pedestrian lane.

Being deliberately hit on the back out of the blue and yelled at by a bicyclist riding by actually happened to me in Germany once when I briefly stepped into the bike lane in order to take a look at a bus schedule posted between the pedestrian side and the bike lane.

Sounds...accurate

Wow, in the US walkers always have the right-of-way on sidewalks and walking areas, in almost every city. If someone did what the girl in this video did she could get a citation and a fine. If someone got really hurt from her slamming someone on to the ground and causing them bodily harm, the consequences could be even worse.

accurate? It's super rude@@dweuromaxx

i dont know how this is specifically a "german" rule; isn't it common sense to not walk in a bike lane...? i mean what if you wanted to get around and was expecting to be able to do so consistently

In Europe bikers seem to not know how to use their brakes and/or steer clear around people as if they were Piloting a container ship or a Formula 1 car. Pedestrians are King ! Anybody in a vehicle of any sort does not have the right of way over any living creature. The fact is that any vehicle (including bicycles) that injures a pedestrian in any circumstance is subject to be prosecuted by the law . On a Bike Steering clear of mostly anything is truly very very easy to do . Such self entitlement going on as if their mothers gave them birth mounted on a Bicycle …

Yeah but the reverse is completely fine for Germans. I probably get 10 times a day almost hit by a bike.

This is not exactly true, pedestrian (fussgänger) have right of way all the time, that's why Germans have to do a cycle proficiency in schools and German bikes have to have a 🔔

Strange it's not shown more clearly, like the red color of the biking lane, as it's done in some French cities 🙄🤔 Aren't Germans supposed to be clear ?
@dweuromaxx2 жыл бұрын
it's a common misconception
@goldflo912 жыл бұрын
@@dweuromaxx 😮 But Germans are the ones to clearly state "Don't do this" or "Don't do that", and some tourists complain about those rules, so why aren't they clear about bicycle lanes 🙄🤔 ? Isn't being clear part of efficiency, what Germans are (supposedly) known for ?

How DARE you breaking the law against the bikes!! Only the bikes have such a privilege!!
