Going to miss the most unique day time running light/headlight - the Boomerang design! Nothing could beat that on the street!

I liked the boomerang day time lights but what I found odd was the triangle design that housed the actual lights. Seemed not as well integrated, maybe if the lights were aligned to one end of the boomerang or something else. It is not as bad as in the Hyundai Kona which has odd front and rear lights.

The Tucson is 100% the clear winner with its superior tech. This refreshed Sportage was a real letdown-not getting the fingerprint scanner like the Tucson is just one example. Plus, the new Sportage steering wheel is awful.

I'm glad that Kia still sells the K5 in America. It's a nice car in GT level trim and tge 2.5 dohc 25 vlv intercooled, turbocharged m, transverse 4 cylinder. Animal of an egine. Needs a transmission to handle all of that torque. All 312 ft lbs.

Bought my kia 1.5 years ago and still watching these.. I wonder why 😜 I like the boomerang lights though now they'll probably feel outdated. I already have wireless android and apple car on my 2023 sportage. It's not that stable though, lots of disconnects, sometimes I plug it in anyway..

I have the HEV 2024 in black and two tone. It’s great. I had a 2023 and a 2022. My only complaint about newer cars is that the mirrors no longer fold in automatically.

I'm glad to see they have new buttons on the streaming wheel. They looks much better than the cheap once in the previous version. Kia really should use better materials for buttons Inside the driver cabin. Another thing to improve is adding some kind of soft material on the site of the middle console. I hope in Europe the new version will be also equipped with double laminated glass to reduce the wind /road noise. The wind noise is the biggest issue for me in the current gen.

Lucky of you. In Mexico Kia don’t manage this models. The “best” sportage that we have is a HEV that was released just few months ago. 😒 with heated seats, why we could need heating seats down here. Hopefully Kia starts to selling the PHEV models soon, or at less an option for ventilated seats in the HEV model

Btw Charlotte, you can get a $30 adapter to turn your wired Carplay/Android auto in to Wireless easily - and it works great on any car :)

Yes! I have seen these (Gabi and Pat actually did a video testing a couple out a couple years ago). I've got my Sorento which has factory wireless CarPlay so I'm all set! But maybe you can share which one you're using? Some of the ones we have tried would drop the connectivity.

They didn't give a full list in the press conference nor were we able to turn the vehicle on to see what it was equipped with. However, it is a facelift so many of the features will be the same. We can expect to anew standard emergency braking for cyclist, pedestrians, and vehicles. Also standard hands-on detection. There will be the option for highway drive assist 2 and side parking sensors!

Looked at the specs and it appears that the battery size and rates are the same so I imagine that no additional ev range unless it gained efficiency somewhere. The gas tank did increase from 42 litres to almost 52 litres so total driving range has increased.

Personally... I like the wireless android/apple car play, but greatly dislike those wheels, new grill, and poop diaper brown interior. What I'd be interested to know is if Kia is still be very heavy handed on pushing their customer to pay for Kia Connect. I recently found out that I can no longer tell my car to navigate to an address by voice unless I pay for Kia Connect. This is something my 20 year old Honda could do with ease. This made me sad.

The N division is Hyundai specific. However, it is unlikely that we'll see a sportier version of the Sportage. Traditionally, Kia has taken a more rugged approach with the X-Line and X-Line Limited. Hopefully, Canada will see the X-Pro trim.
