This song especially warms my Soul my Dad committed suicide he served in the Navy I don't remember him I was so young 💔 I moved from West Virginia at 19 years old and lived near Arlington VA for 34 years and I at the time on my soul journey seeking answers that I never understood it was never discussed why? But I knew his presence was always with me. I searched for my own answers & healing in my heart my soul through Shamanism Healing. Before I moved away I wanted to go find him when I did I had my head down walking it was as if My Lord led me to him I looked down there he was buried under a beautiful maple tree I fell to my knees my heart was overwhelmed with crying and praying I felt free and I knew it was OK he was waiting fo r me to come see him it was meant to be it was an amazing experience Thank you Sweet Jesus ..💜💛💙

This is the reason why every American has to show respect to all service personnel, from the grunts in the mud all the way to the top because without them, without their sacrifice, without them running headlong into the danger, with them facing a hail of bullets and bombs we would not be free, we would not have the opportunities we all have today. The pay the prices of mind, body, blood, sweat and tears so others don't have to and even tho something so simple as a thank you and support will never be enough it's the very least others could do.

Brantley, my name is Madison Green. I'm 18 years old. I have been a fan of you since I first heard one of your songs back in 2009. Both my brother and mom have met you and said you were a wonderful person. I just finished off my senior year in high school. Towards the end I decided follow he lead of a bunch of the men in my family and join the Marines. I'm the first Woman in the history of my school to take the first step in become a Marine. I'll be leaving in a couple months for boot camp. (Possibly August 24th) To know that I'm going in and to see the respect you have for troops and that you don't give up on things you believe in is a big motivator for me. With the way things are going in America I'm beginning to see less and less support. So I just wanted to take the time to thank you

My father is also buried in Arlington. He was a Vice Admiral, a nuclear submariner. As a native Virginian, I am able to sit down and talk to him all the time. It's hard for people who have never been there to realize just how vast Arlington National Cemetary is. Those graves stretch as far as the eye can see, no matter which way you turn. Please, always, always, thank a soldier when you see one because I am afraid they don't hear it enough. We owe them that at the very least. Thank you.

The amount of love and respect out of this touches my heart. I come from a family of military. My father served in the navy and my uncles and cousins have served multiple tours in Iraq. The people who gave the sacrifice are the ultimate heroes. I don't know any of these people, but the love and respect I have for them can not be described. I want to thank everyone who has put their time in to keep us safe. to everyone who has had someone give the ultimate sacrifice, you are all with us. in our hearts and prayers. We love you all. LYRICS I never thought that this is where I'd settle down. I thought I'd die an old man back in my hometown. They gave me this plot of land, Me and some other men, for a job well done. There's a big White House sits on a hill just up the road. The man inside, he cried the day they brought me home. They folded up a flag and told my Mom and Dad: "We're proud of your son." And I'm proud to be on this peaceful piece of property. I'm on sacred ground and I'm in the best of company. I'm thankful for those thankful for the things I've done. I can rest in peace; I'm one of the chosen ones: I made it to Arlington. Read more: Trace Adkins - Arlington Lyrics | MetroLyrics

but at what cost is to great ask this of yourself Tanner Freedom shouldn't be used or given by the blood of our honored heroes like myself and many others we all need to get along and stop being A holes to one another and just help each other stand up for those in need and give them the help and tools they need to pick themselves up and be strong but freedom usually does have a pricess and normally is very costy... honestly i went to war for the thrill of it the gunfights hearing motor shells exploding being given orders and the latter as i grew older seeing with my own eyes the horror's many veterans see i knew what i was seeking wasn't a good cause i gave up for the thrill and instead changed that to protect the ones i love and those who need it most in Fact Adora was my first pit bull rescue overseas one local organization here actually brought my buddy to me i was just in shock really but yea we all have our ideals and they soon change especially if they wer like mine where it was just the thrill of combat and gunfights/close combat and the other latter BG does have a solid point tho im proud of him for being an amazing Artist but also a very Supportive person towards veterans and those who payed the ultimate sacrifice or those who couldn't bear the pain and just ended it themselve or learned to deal with it through amazing people or their own understanding of life.

My biological father was a helicopter paramedic during the Korean War. He was court marshaled for rendering aid to an enemy soilder and he also received a purple heart for wounds sustained during a bomb blast. He had just gotten a service man off the field loaded him in the chopper and had gotten in himself and didnt get a chance to tell his pilot to duck before a bomb went off in front of the chopper and blew the windshield inward he sustained cuts to his face and torso.
