This song reminds me so much of my dad. He doesn't at all care about what others think of him. And yes, it isn't afraid to pray and he DOES know who he is. A lot of people have said he's a real pain in the butt and he's simply just not a nice guy, but that is NOT true.

I guess I'm just different than other folks that hear this song. I love the tune, don't get me wrong. But to me this song is a man stuck between the light and the dark. He can live in both worlds. The lyric "the one's that don't trust anybody trust me" to me means the outlaws trust him cause he's one of them, even though that's not who he chooses to be. "I've got a sinner's mind but I can fold my hands " to me sounds like he does things that most people might not approve of but he talks to God about it. And "I'll ask forgiveness before I ask permission" kinda backs that up. Just my take on it

Been listening to Brantley since I was 13, (I am 20 now) and I can honestly say no artist has moved me more. Brantleys music has helped me through hard times and bad times and made the good times even better. Even after my vehicle collision when I was barely there mentally, Brantley helped me push through. Through his music and his own personal story, it helped me get back on my feet and get my head straight. I owe this man my life. Can't wait to see ya in March Mr. Gilbert, gonna be one hell of a concert!

It's a shame Brantley won't ever see this but damn he's made me a better man if I can even be called that yet. Only 17 but he's put a good example on me. He taught me that it's badass to worship the lord and love my family. His songs about how he did dumb things when he was younger and how he'd rather not live that life style showed me what was wrong before I had to make those same decisions. Kept me from making dumb decisions and keep pushing through. Heck that pfp of me right there I based off of one of his photos as a nod to it. Love him to death even if I don't know him personally or anything like that. Hopefully when I'm older I'll set a good impression off on my children. I don't think I'll ever be good at singing good ass songs like him but I'll find sone way. Maybe he could shoot me some lessons or something. Lol Hopefully I can meet him one day because in a way, I kinda see him as my hero. Never thought I'd look up to a musician like that but he's just awesome. All of his songs I love or at least like. I know at least 20 of them word for word from listening to them so much. I think like 30 something. Heh heh, I'd probably annoy everybody who rides with me having to listen to the same person 24/7 but oh well. If any of you actually read this, well what are your favorite songs from this album. I love Outlaw In Me, The Ones That like Me, Bullet In A Bonfire, The Devil Don't Sleep, Way Back, and Rockin Chairs the most. I think I just named like half the album but oh well.

And sometimes you just gotta step out and do something you wanna do, let off some steam. You'll do fine, glad to see another country boy in this generation. Your generation needs guys like you.

It’s hard to have loyal people. Currently I’ve lost a lot of friends within the past year. Ones I thought I never would. I feel alone, but I know I’m not. I got Jesus and my family. This song, "Take it Outside", and the song with Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, and Thomas Rhett are my 3 favorites although I love all Brantley Gilbert songs! "More than Miles", "Read me my Rights", and "Bad Boy" are bad ass songs also! Now, we all love "Bottoms Up!" from Whitmire, SC (a very small piss ant town where I was born and raised!)

@Brantley Gilbert You're welcome!!! Did you personally answer my comment??? 🥰✨️😁 if so, that's AMAZING!! Yes, I am a fan! Best, great & lovely! ❤️ BTW thanks for putting a ride in this video! Love it!✌🏻 No one sounds like you! I love Chris Stapleton's voice too. You both have the gravelly lived through a lot tone that resonates with me. You bridged the gap between country and the 90's soulful rock ballads I grew up with, like Eddie Vedder 👏🏼 You should sing Just Breathe. . . . Wish I could've come to your Red Rocks show last May! Happy to receive tickets to a July 18 Colorado show 😉 Jesus loves you and so do I! Keep livin' life wide open! 💕

This entire video was shot in my hometown or where I have lived in the past. The diner scene is from Guthrie Kentucky ( my dad is buried just around the corner pretty much) and the backroads country scenes are from Leapers Fork Tennessee. BG you are f*ing amazing. I haven't ran across a song of yours that doesn't resonate in some way. I love you.
