Tuba> shows a French C Tuba Trombones> shows a valved trombone I would show images more appropriate to the instruments actually used in an orchestra

Yes, you are right. I was lazy / sloppy -- and didn't even notice. Apologies, and thank you for pointing it out!

Great short on how to use low brass!

Excellent Samuel! I’ve been into composing with brass for a while now and love the tonal effect they provide. See you in the next one, Gianni❤

That was great demonstration on brass orchestration! Would love to see more in depth videos on the use of brass in the near future!

@@SamuFL - Oh, that’s great to hear! I love brass and how gracefully can sound (or powerfully). I think i still need more time to understand what we can do in terms of writing for brass. So extra examples like this would be appreciated!

Can I ask one question? I love the BBC SO horns at low dynamics. Very Expressive. But at High dynamics, it's... Haaaaa. I don't know. I need more power and I don't find it. I prefer the CineBrass and on the of that, because it also blend well with the BBC SO, I now use the Berlin Brass. HOw can you make the BBC SO Horns sound more epic ????

Okay... So... I totally agree with what you state. I have an easy time grabbing bbcso brass when I need the gentle up to the majestic. But the epic ff-fff range is just not as powerful as it should be. OK. So, what you can do is: smash on compression (like, a lot), and saturation (quite much to be honest) and some eq (gentle cut in the range of ~500 hz. The order should be: eq into compression into saturation. You can eq at the end if needed. But that will always remain a "treated" sample. Alternatively, you can save for some brass specialized in the loud ranges. I believe you can get individual instruments from orchestraltools metropolis, or get a copy of Musio which includes cinebrass, or many more options of varying price and quality.

@@SamuFL Well as I told you, I already use CineBrass (for Kontakt) and in the last black Friday, I bought the Berlin Brass. Awesome !!! And they blend very well withe BBC SO Pro. It's just to bad that the BBC SO horns are so disappointing.
