Check out the Brass Monkey 36L Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer here:
www.snowys.com.au/36l-dual-zo...
Chill your food and bevvies for your occasional getaways without breaking the bank with the 36L Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer from Brass Monkey.
You can choose to use the unit as one zone or as two smaller ones thanks to the independent temperature control. It can be set between -20°C and +20°C through the LCD touch screen display and features a high-efficiency DC compressor and conversion module. The three-stage battery protection will prevent over-discharge and damage, and this unit can be powered by 12/24VDC or 240VAC. The handy USB port allows for device charging, there’s an LED light for visibility, and a handle and wheels for transport.
In this video, we got our teammate Ben to give you a rundown of the 36L Dual Zone Fridge/Freezer from Brass Monkey.
He starts with the dimensions, weight, exterior features, the lid, interior features, and how much you can fit inside. Then he shows you the cables it comes with, plugs it in to demonstrate how to use the control panel, and how to use it as a single zone unit.
Finally, Ben shows you the compatible accessories available and talks you through the compressor - so check it out above for all the details.

I have this same fridge. Just completed 11000 kms around parts of oz. From back seat of sedan in to rooms on the way and overnight camps. Didn’t miss a beat. Bluetooth is super handy. Initially I didn’t like the wheel option, turned out to be the best option on it. Filled, it can be heavy. Early days yet. Happy so far.

Just bought one, here in New Zealand. It is noisy as hell the fan screams, and the coolant burbles and gurgles, you can forget trying to sleep if it's in your camper. I sent it back after 1 week hoping it might calm down, no such luck. The supplier said they would send a new replacement, it arrived and guess what, it does the same noise, looks like l will have to suck it up. The good side is that it does keep everything cold just the horrible loud noise.

We've had mixed reviews on the Brass Monkey fridges, for the price point they seem to be a good offering, but you probably need to live with a few shortcomings as well. ~ Ben

To avoid bottle rattle you could fold up a yoga mat from kmart and put the fridge on that. Might help a bit anyway. Line the inside bottom with the mat too.

I have had one of these since Jan 21 and I love it. I travel a lot for work and its a perfect size for storing frozen foods between job sites as well as keeping a good supply of cold drinks and foods... the lid locks down securely and the foam seals do their job keeping it cold. The dual zone works exceptional well and can be adjusted into a dual freezer / fridge or just a fridge or just a freezer. I'm using it as a freezer at my current work location plugged into 240v. Hasn't skipped a beat Doesn't occupy a huge space in the back of the ute where it's connected into my 12v system... I'll definitely buy another one in the future.

It should get colder than that, Wayne. It could be worth testing it with an external thermometer to see if it's the display that is incorrect. If however, the display is right, then it might be worth contacting the place you purchased the fridge from to have it looked to. ~ Ben

We’ve got one now which is constantly plugged into our leisure battery in our van, the battery icon drops and increases randomly but we can’t seem to find out why, any other owners understand this?
@SnowysOutdoors
@SnowysOutdoors 6 ай бұрын
Fridges have inconsistent power draw depending on their duty cycle - if you've had the fridge open for abit it will pull more power to get back to the right temperature, etc. I'm assuming the battery icon is an indicator of battery voltage which would designed to indicate an 'average' ~ Lauren
