Funny thing: the station you arrived to in Bratislava is the only train station in the city that was built after the end of communism. It's from late 90s I think, and back then when it was built, it was looked at as one of first modern, post communist architectural projects. The bars have a reason too - It's a border station. When the station was built, Slovakia was not in Schengen zone yet. So it was a security measure, since people were still checked for passports back then. That's also the reason why first platform isn't connected to the underground passage. Now is you arrived to the Bratislava Central Station, thay would be a nice example of communist architecture. You probably went to Petržalka station because the connection between Vienna and Bratislava central is under modernization right now.

SLIME :D :D that´s so funny. We in Slovakia have two different words SLIZ and SLÍŽ..... SLIZ means slime, but SLÍŽ means noodles.... So it was the soup with noodles but some intelligent translated it like the soup with slime :D :D....

The waiter (who knew English very well) explained to us that it was soup with local grown mushrooms. It was still funny and we all laughed 😁. I ended up going with the halusky, I was very happy, halusky is so yummy. 🤤

I watch the video again and read the slovak menu and there is: "POLIEVKA Z DOMÁCEHO KOHÚTA S MASOM, KOREŇOVOU ZELENINOU A SLÍŽAMI" .... it means "chicken soup with vegetables and noodles".... I mean that the waiter knows very well, that the translation in the menu is incorrect calamity so he told you some fairytale about mushrooms.... :D :D .... Sorry abot that, but I can tell you that the soup is very tasty, so if you will come to Bratislava sometime again, you can try it :D..... Thank you for your vlog

@@doktor54321 you have to understand for us it is kind of weird that our of all the food the United States has to offer, McDonald's, KFC, and Burger King seem to be our main export.
