Great video, thank you! One thing that still confuses me is that RTA is a big Q approach, but it is said that it can fit with an essentialist theoretical orientation... I just don't get this.

The key thing to remember is that RTA, as a flexible method, can be applied across a range of theoretical frameworks, including essentialism. It can seem contradictory as RTA sits most comfortably within interpretivism, but this flexibility allows researchers to adapt RTA to suit their specific research needs and theoretical perspectives.
