Braunston to Oxford. 3 Days in 12 mins. Wildlife. Airplanes and Drunkenness! 159

The Lumsdens continue south from Braunston. They need to be in Oxford in 3 days. A tall order it has to be said.
They are rather regretting their route choice and final destination. It's just too ambitious but they are committed to it as they have friends driving to Oxford to meet them!
Lumpy thinks he's seen an otter!! He's also very interested in the USAF C-17 Globemaster that is circling close to the South Oxford canal nr RAF Croughton.
It ends with yet another drunken chat in a bar in Oxford.

I'm guessing the wide portion of the canal is so 2 boats going in opposite directions can pass there.

The majority of the canal network is wide enough for boats to pass. There are extra wide sections called winding holes that are there to allow long boats to turn 180* and go back in the direction they’ve just come from.
