As an introvert, I totally relate to Nimbus going out and then going right back into his cage over and over. He looks so much healthier and happier than when you first got him - I'm so happy for both of you that you adopted him!

Sweet Kinder ❤❤❤❤❤ he's lived a long and lovely life. I also decided to take a break from hamsters, gerbils etc. due to their short lifespans. I miss them, but I greatly look forward to having my guinea pigs for (hopefully) 5-7 years rather than a couple. I'm glad you are feeling more settled with them, and that Nimbus is doing so well! That is a happy boy. Owning pets is an ever evolving journey, and honesty not an easy one! I appreciate your candor in sharing your experiences and decisions. Oneself and their animals wellbeing should always be prioritized over content. Looking forward to more chinny updates!!

Sending best wishes to you and your little man Kinder ❤ I hope this isn't too forward, because I know how much care you give your ratties, but I just wanted to share my experience with a PT in an older gal - she was also 2 years 2 months when she started showing symptoms quite rapidly, but with the medication the vet gave her (cabergoline), she bounced back after only a couple of doses and was with us for nearly 6 wonderful months after - the dosage was only every three days as well. I hope this may be useful, but I also know you will make the right decision when the time comes ❤

sorry for all the random questions that pop up from me all the time, but I'm thinking of crocheting a hammock for my soon to be rats, so would it be safe to use synthetic yarn?? (that's all I have lol) also, LOVE the plushies!!!! I am obsessed with plushies🤣🤣🤣

I’ve had a hammock that was crochet before but it was a thicker more rope like material? I will say it didn’t last two seconds and they chewed it so much faster than a normal hammock. With fluffy materials like some yarn you’ve got to be careful as their nails can get stuck in it or fibres can come loose and wrap around their toes and cut off circulation 🥹

Hi Emmy! You’re my favourite KZbinr. I really hope you respond to this comment. I got 2 boys 2 months ago and then I got another 2 boys 1 month ago. Their names are opal, Luna, gizmo and Rex and they get on so very well. They are from a pet shop but they were really easy to bond with. However, a week ago I just got 2 more boys named nova and teddy. I got them from gum tree. A person was selling them. I really regret buying from them. Teddy and nova are so mean to my other ratties. :(. The others really want to be friends with nova and teddy but they won’t let them. They are constantly attacking them and being mean. I don’t have money to get them neutered. If they don’t start getting on I might have to try to give them to an adoption place. I feel like a really terrible person. I’m really upset. And I don’t know what to do. I really need your advice. I don’t have the heart to give them away but I might have to.
