lil jon doesn't get the credit he deserves as a pioneering producer for real....he really carved out his own sound ...the way he used synths was different than any other producers...even drill music has remnants of his production style
@Cashcrop914 жыл бұрын
He'll get his just due soon, seems like music comes back full circle, trust me the Crunk wave will come back out in some kind of way. Check out Duke Duece, if more rappers like him surface then lil Jon will be back to making hard ass beats again.
@ericjohnson33323 жыл бұрын
As someone who is fully in tune to the hiphop/rap and rnb game since 2002, its safe to say he not only killed the producing game but also the rap game. His sound DEFINED the sounds of 2002 to 2005 and I would argue he and 50 were the overall kings of that era as far as influence on the game and the artists they developed or were followed by. Mid 2000s rap radio was absolutely dominated by Jon and his east side boy style and sound. Pre social media, pre VEVO KZbin, pre kardashian MTV...the Crunk era was the end of an era that will never be seen again. Truly was such a fun era of music.

@@bigloc3442 u r wrong! That here s crunk and it was Lil Jons movement too. After there came trap with trap leaders like young jeezy and t.i. The old trap was a bit like crunk with a different bassline and drums. This trap was named after the traps in ATL hoods that stood for a place to cop everything illegal from thugs. Trap today got those remarquable claps and snare and has nothing to do with old trap or crunk.

I honestly don't know why an irresponsible comment such as this will have 42 likes, he wasn't trying to appeal to the South in any way shape or form. I don't mean to be rude but sometimes I read comments & you can tell some folks clearly don't know what they're talking about.
