Have to give Liberatore some credit, he came through in this game. Good job keeping the Braves off the bases. Burleson hit well in game #2, and Goldy was big in late innings -- with the bat, legging around the bases, and with the glove to tag that runner out. Everything looks better when the Cardinals are winning.

Nice to get the series win against a team like the Braves. Matthew Liberatore was very impressive today! I hope this is a sign that he can be a solid 5th starter. Once again, heart-attack Helsley just keeps shutting them down. 28 straight saves for the franchise record is impressive. Got to keep this up against the Reds. Let's go, Redbirds!

Have to hand it to Byrce Elder, he pitched a good game surrendering only 2 runs in 6 innings but unfortunately after scoring 6 runs in the first game our offense decided to take a chill pill for the 2nd game, Kelenic again providing the lone run for Atlanta, it appears that he and the Big Bear have switched bats, funny how that works but that's Baseball.

Well this wasn’t a great loss. Doubleheaders are not very friendly for us usually. Didn’t think Elder was too bad but offense had a tough game, and that was the story of the game. Not much else to it. Now off to chicago to finish up a series with the white sox, Sale on the mound hope the braves can bounce back. #ForTheA
