Braving the rapids on the Navua

Preparing to navigate the rapids on the Navua river, Fiji. The rapids are on either side of the island in the middle of the river. In order to navigate them safely, our boats had to jettison some weight, so I and several other passengers generously agreed to disembark and continue on foot until our companions had passed safely through the tumultuous waters.
