Took part on Saturday. The local parkrun got rained off so glad to make it down to The Great Field. Lots of great reasons to like parkrun..the "its a bit competitive, but don't be overly serious" attitude definitely one of them.

Well done all on a wet day

We vlogged this one in early August on possibly the wettest day of the summer. Absolute monsoon. It's an odd park as it's purpose built for Poundbury which is an odd place in itself.

I think our joint experience suggests it’s never sunny in Poundbury! King Charles has a lot to answer for!!

How many parkruns have you done that were shorter than 5k. Now don't say oh it does not matter sure it's only fun run every Saturday. When a person sets a world parkrun record for whatever age group then the parkrun organisers love to shout about it. Do triathlon organisers openly admit that a lot of their courses are shorter than the stated distance.

Is that just inaccuracies from a GPS watch though?

@@outerheaven8797 triathlon organisation admit that some courses are 10 per cent shorter than the stated eg 10 k distance. Which maybe explains to me how we read about these very fast 10k times. I know a couple of triathletes have ran really good times on the track, but the vast majority can not.
