Thanks again for the info, I will pass that along to the boat owner that I am trying to help out. Have a great season!

Great filming and work, it would be much better if you didn't have the music and actually talked through what you were doing. Thanks for the video!

Another quick question... did you put loctite on the shift shaft seal, or was that some type of oil in the blue tube?

Thanks for the quick reply. This cover started to leak oil after an impact to the prop while loading onto the trailer. I could tell that the cover had been cracked for some time before the leak. So, there is water in that chamber? And if so, how would you drain it for winter?

Keith Chamberlain There should be no water in there. It leaks in from a failed seal. Remove the outdrive from the boat and service it.

i have tried 3 times to set the preload on the drive shaft bearings without any luck. I loosened the bearing each time. I tried a sweep arm torque wrench and a click type. I cannot get any reading before nut bottoms out. Any idea what I'm doing wrong

Sir, where did you find the tool to seat the shift shaft seal? Can you purchase it online?

Music is utterly annoying.

The dystopian sci-fi music is terrible. Talk about what you’re doing instead.
