On average iSUPs are pumped up to pressures 15-25psi. And therefore when it comes to deflating your iSUP relatively high pressures are involved. The large volume of air that is quickly forced out of the board as you depress the valve, not only makes a good noise but it quickly shoots air out vertically towards your face. With this high pressure there is always a risk of sand or other debris from around the valve area harming your eyes/face.
The Bravo Safe Deflate makes the air flow come out horizontally instead of vertically therefore reducing the risk of small particles ending up in your face. It also makes it easier on your fingers when pushing the valve down to deflate your iSUP.
