I sympathize but tbh we’ve seen what happens when RHONJ tries to move past the Gorga drama. Season 6 was pretty dull, they had to drag Jacqueline back for Season 7, and Season 8 felt dull at times too. At this point for the next season I say keep the current cast as is. We have 2 new housewives and we’ve yet to see how Marge, Jen, Dolores, etc would handle a total and complete breakdown in the relationship between Teresa and Melissa. I want to see how the whole group handles them literally yelling at each other and see where the divisions land.

Everyone seems to forget that Teresa has stated repeatedly she was mad and didn’t like Melissa from the get go. She thought her brother got serious too fast,he had previously been engaged and she didn’t care for Melissa. Jo has stated that she didn’t like any girl he was ever with. Teresa has said multiple times that Melissa and Jo should have waited till she wasn’t pregnant to have their wedding since she was a brides maid (all this can be looked up and confirmed) There are tons more!!! All I’m gonna say is this, the show is either fake or we are witnessing what happens when there is enmeshment and emotional incest within a family . Tre feels like Jo belonged to her and rather than create his own immediate family he should have kept everything the same and basically had Melissa fall in line behind the rest of them. Because Tre lost the spot she thought she should continue to hold all of the rest of this mess followed. Melissa wasn’t willing to become who they wanted her to be and clearly based on Tre’s statements (tons of them) they were talking poorly about Melissa almost from the moment they met her, including her implants and the fact that Tre & Joe’s parents didn’t like that . (So dumb) Melissa continued to stand up for herself and not be pushed around and if Tre couldn’t get her to play mistress to her brother so she could play the leading role it was never gonna work. Joe Guidiceé even said that Tre put her brother before him. Kathies husband even said the same thing, and he said that Tre would see what her brother was doing for Melissa and complain to Joe (her husband) (likely out of jealousy)that’ she wanted those things and that made Joe resent his brother in law even more. This can all be looked up and confirmed mostly from this very show throughout the seasons. There is NO way to make it work with Tre unless they just do what she wants when she wants and Melissa plays doormat. Especially now that the parents have passed because now they don’t even have the obligation to them to try to mend the fences or keep the peace .Bottom line,Tre feels like Melissa stole something from her…because she wanted things to remain the same but the dynamic changed. She will never be over it, she will never let that go. Again, all of this can be looked up. Also feel free to do some research into enmeshment and emotional incest and see if you think there are any parallels for yourself.
