There's bad blood because people are airing other people's dirty laundry. When you say, "We put food on your table while you were in jail," most people will get defensive. It doesn't sound like, "We're your family, and we wanted to do the right thing." It sounds like, "We wanted to have one up on you. We're going to hold this over your head forever." I don't have anything nice to say about Teresa, but I don't think Joe and Melissa have the moral high ground they think they do in that regard. If Joe is admitting that he can’t control his emotions, then he needs therapy to control that. It’s not fair to say “ever since Louie came into her life…”. There’s clearly a lot of problems on both ends but his in-laws not getting invited to HIS sisters wedding (not his wedding) is not her problem and definitely not Louie’s either. Joe has so much ego. If he wants his nieces to love him, he needs to not shit on their dad publicly . The girls can decide how they feel about their dad. They don’t need the constant pounding from their uncle. The storyline is always going to be “family is everything or …. But it’s family…”. Normalize not associating with toxic behaviors and people. I think that they would do much better loving from a distance for awhile and both in therapy and maybe then, they can come back to common ground.

Putting him aside, as the uncle and aunt of Teresa's kids, they should have filmed with him as their duty. They would never have been on RHONJ if not for Teresa. Nor would they STILL be on if not for their up and down relationship with her- it has been their only storyline-- without it/her, there'll be no future for them on the show.

Looking at how tree husband wrote down things to help her say what she needs to say helps me understand her better. I feel before she didn’t know how to say what she wanted to say or maybe articulate what she needed to communicate and it resulted in anger being her go to response or reaction. They are mad with her not realizing that was what was happening. It’s not an excuse for her past sayings and actions because she is a grown woman as they all are but the pieces have came together and I can for sure understand her better. I feel now she is really trying to move forward and find better responses and joe and Melissa are still stuck in old ways and are used to the old Teresa that they don’t know how to handle the new Teresa. I could be wrong though.

I like Louie. Teresa’s communication has never been the best. Neither is her listening to understand. Her delivery and tone have always played a negative roll too. Louie helping her articulate her words helps slow her down and helps keep in control of her own emotions. Teresa too is a fireball and typically would have lashed out while having these conversations with her brother. Therapy has really helped Teresa. Joe should consider it himself.
