There are butter knives which look very similar to the fish knife but the difference is the rounded tip. It’s honestly not a strange mistake. The two knives Aesha showed are completely different (the handle), but that’s not the only style butter knife out there.

@@kelseywillow8110 I have seen very different fish knives and have never made the mistake and there wasn’t bread or a bread plate and no butter or oil on the table so you would never make the mistake and the butter knife is normally on or next to the bread and butter plate so they are indications that it’s not a butter knife and the fact they were eating fish with no bread and butter would be the only indication needed for an understanding. I understand alcohol was involved and she may not have been thinking on all levels but to speak to any person serving you the way she did was disrespectful and speaking down to the service person. I think Captain Sandy was very correct and used great respect in the face of disrespectful behaviour towards her staff. Asha was very polite and respectful and politely answered someone being disrespectful and trying to put her down and calling her professionalism into question.

The bad part wasn’t even that they didn’t know what a fish knife is. That’s okay. However, what’s not okay is when you are corrected, you get rude and disrespectful out of embarrassment.

Ellie is a bully. She was so mean to the third stew. Joe is such a jerk. He was playing both sides of the fence. Joe isn’t that great of a deck hand👎🏻 I could never work on a cruise ship. Some wealthy act like they are entitled to treat the stews like crap. The stews work sooooo hard. Can be such a thankless job. Some bosoms Work very hard too

When the rude guest told Ayesha “Your caviar service sucked!”, I wish Ayesha had calmly responded, “Oh? I’m sorry it displeased you. Please let me know in what way it was deficient?” The woman would probably gabbled, and gobbled scrambling to come up with a reply. She was trying to regain face over mistaking a fish knife for a butter knife. She thought she’d scored big points at the table talking up her “etiquette education” and informing the other guests of the service “faux pas”. Money can’t buy you class.
