We call it a 99s in the England, totally agree with you. If I could only pick one gun (I have lots) the 50/99s would be it. Really enjoyed your video thanks 👍🏻

I also have a 99s in England! It's a brilliant airgun for the money. And I agree, compared to Gamo, Crosman and even, dare I say it, BSA (sorry England!) Weihrauch take the trophy every time.

@@samfletcher93 thanks for the great comment. I cannot speak to the BSA air rifles as I have never had one to shoot or test out. But Weihrauch air rifles hands down are my favorites out of all the ones I own and have had the chance to shoot. I do plan on getting an air arms TX200 carbine one day and I want to try out a few of the higher end diana's as well. Currently I have the 125th anniversary weihrauh HW50S .22 in the red and black laminate stock on pre order so can't wait to get that one in. thanks for watching the channel

I just got my hw 50 and scoped (used loc-tite ) and shot maybe 50 - 75 pellets and my scope was walking off because the stop pin vibrated up. I've got the loc-tite on the stock screws this time too (hoping it settled in a little) and letting it sit another day.I went through the same thing with my hw 97 and hw 95. I bought some of the field targets from your recommendations ( the white rabbit and a squirrel ) and they are nice. I'm like you, i have way too many knives, shoot guns (air and powder) and i kayak fish too. I also ride motorcycles too! Like your videos and subbed.

thanks for the great comment and I used to ride motorcycles as well Harley guy owned many over the years but due to injures had to give that up. As you know the gun will settle down and as youknofrom owning other weihrauch rifles they are dream to shoot. I currently own the HW50, HW77k And the HW97 stanless steel thumb hole stock in weirauch rifles. My wife has the Beeman R7 and she loves that gun so much she will not let me buy her any other gun lol! I also own a few gamos, a Hatsan 95 which is a very impressive gun for the price and stupid accurate. And about half a dozen PCP air rifles but I prefer spring air rifles over the PCP stuff. And glad you lik ethose targets I just picked a few more of them up as well got a different rabbit and a bird one as well They will be showing up soon in my next few air rifle videos. thanks again for watching and the sub.

If you own one HW you want more HW's 😁 I have seven now and i,m not interested in other brands because i know there is no better on the market. I see you know how to shoot a springer mate. A springer will learn you how to shoot it. Flyers you avoid by not thinking now i'll pull the trigger but slowly increase the pressure and only concentrate on sight and target. Thanks for a great video 👍 I,m also a fishing fan so i subscribed. One more and you'll have 1000 subs. All the best from Lappland. Cheers!

None o fthem are even close to the Weihrauchs though in anyway shape or form. @@BravoBassin Looking forward to your video my fiend 😁The HW30 is a very accurate little rifle, is very easy to shoot and perfect for young shooters but absolutely not only for the youth as many do suggest. The 30 is no powerhouse with about 7 ft-lbs but trust me, it,s a dream to shoot with. You say that you want to get one in.22 but i'll recommend you to get one in .177. because it's lower power you will have more speed and less drop on distance with a 177cal. Buying a Vortek tune kit for a HW30 makes no big difference and is in my opinion not worth the money. I have one with the Vortek kit installed and one without. With both guns i nail .22 rimfire shells on 25 meters 👌and has also power enough for smal game hunting. I would highly recommend the Hawke Vintage or Airmax 2-7X AO scope for the HW30. This compact scope don't add much weight, looks better on this rifle and has enough magnification. The Airmax is more expensive but has a finer crosshair than the Vintage and has half mill. The HW30 is worth the Airmax because you can nail a fly without the crosshair is covering it.

@@rapalaron6348 well My wife has the Beeman R7 in .177 which is made in the same factory in germany as the HW30s and is pretty much the same gun just with the american name. SO I want the hw30s in .22 so we have a different caliber version around and .22 is my favorite size pellet to shoot as well. As far as scopes I run the hawk 4x32AO sportHD scope and the hawk vatage 3x9x40 Ao scopes mostly and I have a few UTG 3x9X40 AO scopes on a few air rifles as well all mildots. BUt honestly I love the hawk 4x32 AO scopes and they are all I have ever really needed on an air rifle I have shot out to 75yds with them with no issues hitting what I was aiming at. I have been using all 3 of these types of scopes for many years now with no issues at all. And they are very budget friendly as well. I am a big fan of hawk scopes and recommend them all the time UTG scopes are usually my second recommendation after hawk. even though UTG retical lines are a little thicker they hold up very well on spring air rifles.

Got one of these in .22, they’re nice but QC is unacceptable for the price imho. When buying new they need to be taken apart, need a new piston seal after deburring all of those milled holes. 22:18
@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin 9 ай бұрын
Well that is interesting since I have never heard anyone ever say that in any video or with anyone I have ever talked to about this weihrauch air rifle or any other weihrauch air rifle for that matter. I actually own several weihrauch air rifles and have never had to do anything to them other then sight them in and shoot them. And to say that everyone of these that you buy new will have to be taken apart right out of the box is just plain bullshit. Maybe yours did have some issues because it happens with every company. But weihrauch has one of the best reputations in the air rifle industry for there standards and QC and have been making air rifles since 1890 so I am pretty damn sure they have got it down pretty damn good on how to make a good air rifle. on top of the fact that they have a great warranty 1 year warranty as well so if you did have an issue you should have been able to get that taken care of with zero problem.

@@BravoBassinDamaged piston seals on brand new rifles causing dieseling, on the break barrels and the hw57 at least, is more common than you’d think. Maybe I should have phrased my comment differently and said that not EVERY rifle needs this treatment. But it’s definitely not some made up bullshit, sir. Taking apart a new rifle, degreasing everything and applying proper grease in the right amount is advisable anyway because the grease they use from the factory is there for long term storage not for performance. Edit: I can’t be bothered to deal with warranty hassle because I always take my rifles apart anyway to install a spring guide and top hat that actually fit properly, it really helps reduce the twang/boing.

@BravoBassin 9 ай бұрын
@@elmanitasdeplomo And there it is just as I thought you are one of those guys man I love it when I am right. So this boils down to your opinion and what you feel needs to be done to every rifle but it actually does not need to be done. because the rifle will shoot just fine right out of the box and will last a life time if you just take care of it properly. Like you should with any rifle you get and that basic maintenance on an air rifle does not require you to have to take it apart to do. And just FYI most of us do not care about the twang/boing as it does not bother us at all. And what company would build a rifle that you have to take apart as soon as you get it and do a bunch of work to it before you could ever shoot it I mean do you here how stupid that sounds? they would not get very far in this business if that was the case and would not have the great reputation that Weihrauch has if that was the case. what this all boils down to is that you are a big fan of putting a tune kit in all your air rifles and that is the narrative you are trying to push is that this is a must that you have to do with every air rifle. And that my friend is just plain bullshit! will it calm the twang down and give you a little better performance I am sure it probably does I would not know as I have never had the need to do it. But is it something you have to do no it is not. end of story. but thanks for the good laugh it is always entertaining this youtube thing can be.
@elmanitasdeplomo
@elmanitasdeplomo 8 ай бұрын
@@BravoBassinIf it is functioning normally without dieseling, then it will serve the vast majority of shooters for a lifetime with just basic maintenance, you are completely right in that man. Most people probably shoot 2 tins of pellets in a year anyway.

I agree that the weihrauch rifles appreciate some deburring and fine tuning. It’s not necessary as such but is the rifle enjoyable to shoot of the factory? I don’t think so:) my hw50s dieseled as well when I got it new and the shot cycle was superhard and loud, like yours in the video. I degreased everything inside and put a tuning kit in but still really loud and hard shotcycle. Then I cut 3 coils off the main spring and it was a little better but still too hard of a boing, also kept moving my scope down the action. Then took another 2 coils off and flattened the ends of the spring and I’m happy now:) it’s at exactly the same power level mind you so these rifles have too much preload imo. It’s such a calm accurate rifle now, and I enjoy it 10 times more than from factory. They’re not hard at all to take apart and well worth the effort

What kind of backyard backstop do you need for this.
@BravoBassin
@BravoBassin 9 ай бұрын
well that depends my back yard there is nothing but woods so in that case nothing. But if you live in a neighborhood then you are going to need either a dirt mound or brick or steel back drop. they make great steel target traps you can buy which I use as well for about $60 on amazon or you can get them at pyramyd air as well. which is also what I am using in the video when shooting the paper targets. these targets actually catch and stopthe pellets in the target You can also nail 2x4 boards together and make a back stop that way but eventually you will have to make a new one as the wood gets all torn up pretty quick if you shoot as much as I like too. best case is a dirt mound back stop or one of the steel traps you can buy. when I lived in a neighborhood i use the steel trap with a concrete block back stop behind it and that worked great the concrete blacks are pretty cheap and is a great way to make a backstop shooting wall. you can also buy sheets of steel from lowes or hondepot and make a frame for that and make that your back stop just make sure it is thick enough steel. this gun is powerful enough to shoot through your neighbors fence so you do not want that to happen.
