The most disheartening thing to me was seeing brawl stars ytubers open 2 brawl passes from start to finish with pass and not come 50% to even lvl 10. Considering every pass lasts 2.5 months 5 months and absolutely nothing for grinding feels miserable

Chinese version of the game actually has the “hard pity” at all rarity levels, and it is shown on the drop rates screen. Wish this was the case for international version as well. Honestly it’s nice to have this info, it feels like a form of progression, and international version is missing out.

I played this game because of the simplicity and how easy it is to pick up and play in a short time. But now they add this massive grind, gears, and club leagues currencies. It’s starting to get too complex and overwhelming and I don’t like this

yes I play since global release and it was so fun and simple with only 22 brawlers and the systems back then. Also it sooo cool to see 90% of players starting from 0. Back then having Bo was a flex and rank 20 was the max rank and it was actually very hard to achieve it. Not to mention that any brawler above super rare was pretty hard to get. Now the game is so childish and complex. I stop playing around when Buzz realeased and I picked up again recently and I was completely disappointed of the direction the game had gone for the year of my inactivity. I will probably unistall after I max the brawl pass cuz I have the gems and this new brawler fang is pretty cool. Such a shame really cuz I spent ~80$ on the game over the 2 years of constantly playing it.I used to have all brawlers with starpowers(maxed out) and skins.

really appreciate this video Kairos. you voiced many opinions that much of the community has had since the update. one thing that im confused about that many of my friends and clubmates are confused about as well is how are high club league rankings gonna double or triple progression? sure you'll get more coins per season but unless they change the shop for players at higher leagues - which they havent said they will do - you'll still only be able to buy a maximum of 50 power points per day. which is absolutely nothing with the power 10 and power 11 requirements

Half an hour in and I agree with what you’ve said. They should’ve done what they did with gadgets and made them available at earlier levels. It takes so much more gold and power points now that it’s just too hard to progress especially for casual f2p players. I’ve opened quite a few boxes since the update and because gear is not only locked behind level 10 but also gear tokens I have only been able to craft 1 gear which is the free one. There should also be some gear reworks cause I feel that some are way more useful than others. Don’t think I’ll ever see anyone using the resistance gear.

Thank you Kairos for taking the time to do all of these honest review videos. I think this update was mixed for me. Club League was hype but the new levels and gears was a bit too much to me. I feel like the gear system wasn't thought through enough but they can still improve in a later update anyway this is supercell and they usually listen to their community. #BrawlLove

As a free to play player, after I saw the Brawl Talk and sneak peeks I was feeling the worst and least passionate about the game that I have ever felt. Yeap, I felt so heartbroken realising my account isn't maxed anymore. And that's not the point, the point is that I have to use more than double the resources I previously used to max out my account, which took me 2 years to max, which means I will probably take another year before I can max it out again, making it not as fun. Even though I have gathered a total of 45000 coins, I still don't have the power points, and I even planned on spending those coins on silver and gold skins. So yea I prefer only adding power 10 and not 11.

#brawllove Finally came back to the game 2 weeks ago, this is the second video from you I've seen since that (first was Meglock), and for someone that have been watching your videos since December 2018, I must say, I've missed watching your videos. Of course I would watch the whole thing Kairos, thank YOU for these last 3 years, and even before, because of the videos I wasn't able to watch. I remember watching your videos in December 2018, wanted to catch up so I wacthed videos from before that time, seeing those blue things instead of power cubes in showdown, one of your tips being to hide and use walls to make the opponent waste ammo and stuff... and all the videos that followed of course , the brawler guides, you speaking about Leon, Gene, Rosa etc... Brock being the most "all-around" Brawler... It brings back memories. All I can say is... after months of not playing the game and watching your videos... I'm glad I'm here to watch them again. #BrawlLove Hey Kairos, I genuinely support every single concern you brought. I am a f2p player and this update just makes me sad man. Even though the team worked hard for the concepts of gears and new progression, I really think that they just focused on the revenue part and did not much think about the bad experience and dominance we will get from the spenders. I almost maxed my account before the update having all brawlers with at least one Star Power. Now new levels are being added to the game, even though I play the best build, I still get dominated by higher-level brawlers. Not to mention that it requires so many power points and coins to upgrade a brawler to levels 10 and 11. They really should have increased the stuff we get from the boxes. And when you said putting all clubs in the bronze league was a mistake, I cannot agree more. Not to mention the fact that there is not much difference of club coins you get if your club is 1st throughout the week or second (5 coins' difference haha). If a club performs really well then we should be given some extra rewards or something. Till now, I really appreciated the dev team for creating such a good and healthy game and just not focusing on creating revenue. But this update really makes me think about that even though I don't want to. Let's just hope for better.

You are very good at resolving difficulties that games have. I couldn't even get on with solutions to a half of the issues that this update brought. I agree with everything you said especially what you have said about gears. That's good ideas to improve them and if they would be implemented to the game then the gears would be perfect. #brawllove

Coming back to the game now but once this update dropped I quit the game and this is a player who was completely maxed I had every brawler maxed but then when they reduce us to power 9 and give an insane grind to 11 with gears providing direct advantage I was overwhelmed and seeing prices in the thousands which caused me to quit for then

I’d been at level 9 for around a year totally maxed out and I agree with you about how overwhelming level 11 is. I was mostly free to play and I think a level 10 is amazing but level 11 feels so far away. I’m still saving boxes for future updates so I can’t even try and get all my brawlers to 10 yet. I focused on my favorites and the best brawlers for 10 and I’m gonna work on moving them up to 11 soon, just like what you said about focusing all on a few. I wish they did just level 10 because that feels attainable but also would take a little time. I have gears on some of my brawlers and I love the concept but I wish there were more gears to choose from like you said. I also wish that gears buffed brawlers more than they do so they felt more impactful. I really like Club League though, my club was super active in playing but never talked to each other, we were just all high level maxed out players over 25K trophies. Now that club league is a thing we all chat and coordinate in chat to get more rewards so we’re getting to know each other.

I completely agree im mostly free to play been maxxed out for sooo long every season id get the new brawler and maxxed out as soon as i hit lvl 30 and still have 2 seasons of boxxes to open now new update i opened every box and feel like there was little progression i have a handfull of lvl 10 brawlers and gadgets but saw the slow progression and iv decided to start saving all my boxes again and only open boxes with a new brawler so i can progress my current brawlers but unlock amd level up the new one at the same time

Personally think it would've been a good idea to give everyone at the beginning of the update 1000 free coins and 500 star points to get someone started on their road to power 10 and 11, and probably would be best to have at least 1 more free gear token of your choice once you get your first brawler to power 10. I genuinely think that gears need more personality and give classes more importance (I don't know if you already mentioned it in future minutes of the video 27:12.) But what if every class has its own set of gears and divides the gears into different functions (support/defense/attack). That way it is more intuitive for the player and “striking”. I feel like they are so subtle for casual players that would not pay attention to them at all, and it does not feel rewarding to unlock the same gear for 52 brawlers.

Honestly, one of my biggest problems with this update you haven't talked about is a little bit of a lack of transparency from Supercell, if that makes sense. I've been a maxed out F2P player for a long time and ever since I got maxed out I just had no real reason to open boxes or anything, I would just save a bunch and open some to get a brawler when it was just released to get their gadgets and star powers, and obviously I would get no power points from that, just gold. And even though I could save up that gold to buy power points after levels 10 and 11 were released, there was just no way of me knowing that they would get released in the first place, so I just spent all my gold in true gold/silver skins and all I can think of is that all that gold I spent is just missed progression now. If Supercell had simply said that they would be releasing new levels a few months ago, just like they warned us beforehand when they removed tickets from the game back in the Brawl Pass update, or how they teased for a really long time that clubs would be reduced in size from 100 to 30 members, so that people could adapt. I know I might be a little bit of an outliner, or maybe buying skins with gold was just a stupid decision from my part, but I feel that if Supercell had simply come out some months ago and said "Hey, we will be adding new levels, so make sure to save your boxes and gold to upgrade them!" things would already be so much better. It's not like they didn't know that they would add the levels back then, it's clear that this update has been in the works for a REALLY long time. Overall, I just feel a little bit unmotivated to play by just looking at my account and seeing the unholy amount of time it will take me to get maxed out again or anything even close to that. But even so, I will continue to watch you, Kairos! The content you make is simply amazing and I will do all I can to support you! Lots of love

Now that you say that. I think they meant for people to spend there current (free) resources so that when the update drops you can't have free stuff. You would HAVE to spend real money in order to get your maxed out account back. Because just like you said Brawler released > opened free boxes > max out brawler > back to playing game See there is no money being spent in the game there which means they were probably at loss and wanted as much money as they could in the form of "new content"

When you mentioned club leagues just being more of the same, I agree and I’m just demotivated to even play club league at this point. When you mentioned gears being unobtainable, I feel that as well since I have barely any gears on barely any brawlers, as someone who buys brawl pass every season and nothing more and was fully maxed prior to this update. Honestly if some of the gameplay of club league was just redone and gears were cheaper, as well as your idea of more gears in total, I would really be on my way back to enjoying the game as one of the best, but right now I’m just so worn out of it. Again, great game, like you kept saying, but this update could’ve been so so so much better, I wanna see that PVE stuff you mentioned for club league, that’s something me and my friends would all enjoy playing together. I feel like I empathized and agreed with a lot of your points about the new update, from the difficulty it is to get gears and how restricting our tokens are (I mean I have 8 lvl 10+ brawlers yet only 7-8 gear tokens per category INCLUDING the price for the gears I've already purchased), and with how club leage was implemented well even if it is a little boring/things we've already seen before. But, as soon as I saw brawl talk I remembered soo many of your comments (ones I agreed with at the time) wishing for more end-game progression. My experience with endgame progression in a lot of games is less actually amazing things for spending your time, but rather near the endgame you need to spend a lot more time than the mid game to get unique, but ultimately not powerful rewards, especially in multiplayer, because you don't want someone who is maxed level to queue against a level 4 playing with his much more progressed friends and feeling like they stand no chance because the maxed brawlers would decimate them. I agree that gemming to level 11 was absolutely not intended because it was meant to serve as Something to do and to look forward to. I do think they made it too hard with 2.5x progression but that's my own opinion, but on the other hand what Supercell I believe reeeeealy doesn't want is a large number of maxed out accounts who either stop playing or severely reduce play time because they no longer have anything to do in the game, and whether you like level 11 or not adding such a gap to brawl stars absolutely accomplishes that reduction. Just so you know where I'm coming before the update I have been a mostly FTP player (I would buy the Brawl pass if I didn't have enough gems, otherwise I didn't spend gems or money on progression), and I had all brawlers (except lola) and they were all maxed out. After the update, I rushed to get a brawler to level 10 with just the pp rewards from the brawl pass (since I've been maxed out for a while I only open boxes for star powers, gadgets and new brawlers exclusively) and then opened all my boxes to get no new level 10 brawlers. I had a large amount of gold, so I was able to use that to buy pp and upgrades and am now sitting on 7 level 10 brawlers with at least 1 lvl 1 gadget and 3 more eligible to upgrade when I get more coins and 1 level 11 brawler. I have mixed feelings because on the one hand I feel like supercell was trying to make an endgame that would take a much longer time to reach so less people would feel like their available progress is over, and in that regard I feel like they succeeded, but on the other hand it does feel like we didn't get much content to fully experience for a while, and this is coming from a former maxed account who still has gadgets, but can't buy them all on even a single brawler without meaning I won't get gear for my other brawlers, which is frustrating. Anyway, the whole hour of dialogue got me in a "here's my spiel" mood, so here we are. Kairos, I've been watching your videos for a very, very long time (It may have been since Tara was added to the game, I'm not entirely sure), and you have remained my favorite Brawl Stars creator over the past four years, and I've stuck with every honest review, every brawl talk review, every olympics video (I actually remember when you started the Brawl Stars Olympics with the Brawl News guy, featuring the resident Brawl Nerd KairosTime) and so when you post your longest video to date over the most controversial update since "it wasn't landscape or portrait it was landscape or kill," you know I'll be sticking through both this video and this channel to their end. Honestly, I agree with everything you said and have always put a lot of stock into your update reviews but I honestly haven't had much trouble upgrading my brawlers. All the ones that aren't already lvl 10 are at least halfway there and half of the ones that are already halfway or more to lvl 11. I am lacking on the gear thingies. I'm doing well on scrap but I just can't find enough of them. Though I do have all my gears lvl 2 for every brawler that has them unlocked. This is coming from a mostly f2p who really only buys the brawl pass. Like you said the club battles are a great way to get points for your brawlers. I almost have my el primo lvl 11 just from the points I can buy with the red thingies I get from them. I think you also slightly undervalue the brawl pass in how much progress it can give you. Fully f2p players do have it extremely rough with this update though.

I think you've truly taken the time to understand, analyze and put into words everything that players felt about this update and what you felt. I personally agree with almost everything, except certain parts about how Supercell responded or reacted to certain things. Then again, I don't have the full story, and so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. When I heard the word 'Gears' I was super excited to see what Supercell could come up with. What they came out with was super underwhelming and disappointing. Along with what you said, I also believe that the current Gears have conditional effects. You NEED to be below half health to get the damage gear working. This is such a weird gear to me. If I'm using it, sometimes it makes me confused as to whether I should retreat and heal or continue the fight. I also really wish Club League introduced some new form of gameplay, but it's just the same thing as the other modes, just like you mentioned. I hate the progression system right now, and I'm not actively playing because my efforts feel useless. Honestly I've been watching lesser brawl content as well exactly like you mentioned because I'm losing interest when everything just feels worthless. The biggest problem I see is that fixing these problems will take so long. I have faith in you and your belief it'll get fixed so I'll stick around, but this also means that many who don't have such a strong amount of trust will just give up and leave the game and that hurts the most. To see people and friends leave. If Supercell had been quick to accept that there are many flaws in the update and they will get around to fixing it, and gave us hope I think many of these players that would leave or have left, would've actually waited because they would see Supercell responding in a way that seemed fit. But right now the way Supercell responding, by either not addressing the complaints or being tone-deaf in their responses just doesn't give others a reason to stay. I honestly wish that could've been better. In fact seeing this honest review gave me so much hope that I'm willing to wait longer and listen closer than I would've before, because it's a response or thing that makes us feel validated. It was really a good review and gave me insights to the issues that are in brawl stars. After the update, I have many concerns, which are really similar to those that you covered and I would like to give these suggestions. Gears have definitely been a huge challenge. Not only are they too expensive, but some of them are practically useless. For example, remaining stationary to heal does not make sense, as no one would stand at a same spot just to heal 1 second faster, just because they are more vulnerable. I know that you decided not to cover gear balance this video, so this is my insight to this issue. Secondly, I would like to cover the club shop. I think that boosting the progression by 86% is amazing. However, this doesnt apply to many. Players will tend to invite 1) High Trophies 2) Friends to their good clubs, so those who just joined the game (eg. by mr beast) may not be invited to other better clubs, so infact their progression may only be boosted by 0-20%, and that really sucks. About the club shop, I have an experience where I literally have 156 club coins now, but the club shop to buy power points is so limited, as you can only buy 1 set of power points every day. I strongly believe that the club shop should come in as an infinite shop, and with more varieties (eg. mega boxes) Thirdly, I would like to talk about other possible features of clubs. Club Chest, similar to how like clan chests were in clash royale. They would be worth way more than a mega box (maybe once per 2 weeks, you can get a club chest worth 5 mega boxes), and this will be like contributed by club members based on damage they deal/kills/healing depending on the quest on that given time. This will fix the issues of less social clubs. Lastly, I would just like to say, if you're (kairos or anyone else) reading this comment, thank you so much for doing so! I completely agree with you on that. I have been playing this game since global release and I was completely maxed out f2p player sitting at 40k trophies before the update came. At first I thought that "Well, gears aren't easy to obtain but I can do that after some time with the help of club league and club shop" but the feature that lets you to buy PowerPoints once in a day really gives me a sense of unpleasantness I have been able to max only 2 brawlers to level 10 and none of my brawlers are even halfway through the process of getting the required amount of power points. And the amount of gear scrap,gear tokens and power points we get per box has really started frustrating me. Well it can be definitely changed to be better.

I do not agree with you regarding the experience for new players. They won't worry about joining a good club, they just already have so many things to do, so many missions, new gamemodes, new brawlers, new mechanics. Honestly, Brawl Stars is the most fun for beginners, and that will remain like that. A smaller club reward won't really make that much difference for them, and that's ok: reaching level 9 with a brawler is easier than ever, nowdays. I think the biggest concern is about the endgame players, which were actually the very target for this update. The game didn't change much for us, it just got more overwhelming, because of the sheer amount of things to upgrade.

Agree with all you said! The one thing that is annoying me the most however is that its is now super hard to level up new brawlers. I have currently 49 brawlers, 48 of which are current at level 9. The other one is currently stuck at level 6 because I keep getting power points for the other brawlers instead, which need a total of almost 43.000 power points. So yeah, I don't even feel exited to get new brawlers anymore because it's a pain in the ass now to level them up to a level that is actually fun to play.

Full disclosure: I stopped playing Brawl Stars over a year ago. My gaming time each day is limited and other games took my attention away after playing it for nearly two years. That being said, I still watched the entire video, because I was very curious about what your thoughts were given the length and title of the video. After hearing all these issues, I have to say that if I hadn't moved on from Brawl Stars already, this update would have done it in for me. I was a light spender and had nearly maxed out about 30 brawlers. The influx of new brawlers and the explosion of unobtainable progression, along with never playing in organized groups because of my availability issues, would have stuck a fork in my interest in the game and called it done. I still keep my sub because I enjoy hearing your thoughts on games, and the brawl theory videos are fun explorations of lore (props for the collab video with MatPat).

I'm not excited about playing anymore because of this weight filled feeling of dread that I have to play the game A WHOLE LOT MORE than usual in order to progress forward. You make a fun addictive game get people hooked then push microtransactions and milk everyones money as fast as possible before they get bored of the game. This update was an attempt at making the game still generate revenue without them having to spend time and money adding new content. This basically means all the new updates will be shallow and nothing new or big will really be added to brawlstars. They want people to start playing clash mini now. #Brawllove Honestly, I agree with pretty much everything you've said in this video Kairos. The one thing I do disagree with is your views on level 11, but I do see your points for it. I think they could have added a gear slot at level 5 and a second at level 10 and that would have been fine. I personally don't see a need for a 3rd slot like you suggested level 11 would be, but again, I can see your reasoning for it. As for Club League, I was hoping for a 5v5 mode too! I think it would be fun to get with my club mates and come up with some team comps. Maybe something like triple tank double healer or 8-bit, Ruffs, and 3 sharpshooters. And great minds must think alike because I also wanted a new PvE mode too. I thought about 2, one being the one you mentioned in the video and another that would be like a horde survival mode. It would, again, be 5 players and you would have to survive as many waves of robos as you could. Every 10 rounds you would fight a bot playing as a powered up, random brawler. Club leagues and gears: I personally think this update isn’t really that exciting as a light spender myself. I do like the addition of gears though it gives a lot more depth to the game at the endgame part of things. However I dislike the fact that you probably would need to grind months to years in order to use them and have a fair shot against heavy spenders in powerleague again. I mainly agree with your points made that supercell should have introduced gears at power lvl 8 and just increase the power lvl 10 to add the second gear slot over there. I also agree that club league should be refreshing experience which would encourage people to keep playing. Well special gamemodes could be really cool for club leagues, I don’t think that they should be exclusive to club leagues since these gamemodes will be most likely be classified as a single match gamemode in club league, people who want to score the most points possible in club league don’t get them to experience them that often since power matches offer the highest amount of points possible for a club. Golden tickets: Golden tickets for me aren’t really that controversial since I earn enough starpoints every season so that I can afford to buy them and still have enough starpoints for some boxes and power league skins. However I totally get why people are sceptic about them since it offers a advantage to the maxed out player who doesn’t care about buying boxes with starpoints anymore to the person who wants to spent those starpoints on progression. Legendary droprate: The legendary droprate had a small effect on me since I am a long time player I actually had a droprate that was slighty above the current capped droprate about 0.27..%. Although this wouldn’t effect me that much I actually feel bad for the people who spent a lot of money showing their support to the game having their droprate destroyed just like for long dedicated players. However I feel like that this change should let people feel a little more excited when unlocking a legendary brawler and it also keeps the people motivated to play the game for longer to complete their brawler collection. I personally have always been focused on trophy grinding and don't really look at things like extra add ons for brawlers like gears. i would like to add that even the gears aren't that much "new" content. They should have made a wider variety of gears, and some of them exclusive for some brawlers, a little bit the way star powers work, each brawler has his unique sp that give him interesting mechanics. but i mean just having +300 health as a shield isn't really "new" at all. they should get more creative with gears and make some unique ones for each brawler, this way it would be way more interesting and fun.

I was about 10 star powers from being maxed. Now I feel really overwhelmed overall about maxing out. I’ve come to the conclusion that I will just get them when I get them. I really agree with what you said about other gears. That would make the progress so much more worth it than what it was. I really hope that they add more interesting things that are more F2P. Edit: I now officially have two power 10 brawlers. (Stu and Crow) It took a bit of work but I don’t know how long it will be until I get another. Good luck to everyone else though! #BrawlLove I’ve been maxed for about a year before this update and at first I was so excited that we were going to get more opportunities for progression and a new goal to push toward, but once I saw the amount of progression they added all once without adding new ways to actually progress (at least not until we get to higher club leagues in weeks-months) my heart actually sank. I was really hyped after watching the brawl talk because gears seemed like a fun new thing to try out, but I can’t even try them because of the ludicrous roadblock of gold scrap and tokens put in place. I also have very strong opinions on golden tickets and the toxicity within a club they could potentially create, I agree that they should just be free for everyone for those who miss a day or have trouble with scheduling. Trust me when I say that interest in the game isn’t declining because of your content, there just hasn’t really been anything interesting that people can actually experience added to the game since the summer update, I really hope supercell can recover from this as I’m sure they’re aware that they need to make some changes.

I was actually GRINDING for 1.5 years. my username was quickfire. I never complaint about legendaries being hard to get because there rareness made them awesome. Never complaint about coins. I never complaint about anything and I loved the game. But this update was horrible. It was literally like clash royale. Supercell keeps their games fun for 1-2 years and after that when they have a player base they start bringing updates like this. In 1.5 years I unlocked all brawlers (except lola) got 46 of them to level 9. Reached 35k trophies. Grinded power league and got to mythic 1. Went super sweaty and got 15 wins. All of this to realise that in 1 update they bring this shit and double the power points and coins required to max out. My will to play the game finished. I left the game, uninstalled it. I even wanted to delete my supercell Id but they asked weird questions like how many times I changed my name. They not only lost 1 dedicated player, but alot. Half of my club (which was top 50 india- tke alpha) also quit or don't play that often. I wanted something like gadgets, not this.

as i'm writing this a year and a half later i have returned to the game, but feel it's worth mentioning that this update is what made me stop playing for so long. i had been playing since the beginning and had a fully maxed account and frankly it felt disrespectful to the players to have 2 extra levels we had to push for to max again, especially with the rate we kept getting new brawlers. i didn't feel like spending all that time to accomplish something i'd already put in the work for. to this day it still doesn't feel worth the time as i'd rather get new brawlers to reasonable levels first but like currently that means investing in cordelius when i get that tier of the pass and investing in doug when he's released next month

#BrawlLove Been playing since global release. Interesting to see what changes have taken place since I watched this video a month after release. Of course, golden tickets died. A good change. I tried imagining myself as the Supercell team, and I was impressed by the gear variety plan. The current gear simply doesn’t meet the needs of every brawler and helps some much more than others. More gear helps to customize the meta, but too many essentially just creates a Lv12 effect. If your plan were put into action, “every” Crow is now running poison time+ gear and every Surge is running “Passive Gadget recharge” (For those teleport ambushes!), etc for other relevant gear. So I think there’s a happy medium. There should probably be some more gear options, but the pitched 25 seems like enough to switch the tide toward that “Lv12” effect. I think your expectations are 2 stories above the ceiling for power league. I ditched Clash of Clans 6 or 7 years ago, but Clan Wars were and probably still are just attacking an opponent’s base like you would any other time. Clash Royale clan wars sometimes feature challenge game modes with silly events, but otherwise it’s just Royale gameplay with free reward stakes. Now Brawl Stars has club gameplay, and it’s just normal gameplay with free reward stakes. This was the pattern. It makes sense. I think your visions for the mode are incredible, but the day of their arrival is not yet close. This comment is long enough to never be read by a human, but if you actually read this Kairos, I also think you could get more mileage out of your arguments with some cleaner presentation. Show us some of these numbers! The only figures were when you explained how much you spent, and a lot of talk about 50% enhanced progression. Overall, a great video, and regardless of Supercell reception, I think it really calls for a serious discussion on the subject. Which is what the community needed most.

What an amazing video Kairos! Represents almost all my thoughts and feeling towards the game! for me as a casual it was SOOO, almost annoying to get a new brawler (Lola)... Cause i was excited to play with her mechanics, but then level 11 and gears just came looking around the corner and said... HA you want to play her. How bout no, she is to underleveld to push and it is almost impossible to evenly split power point in old brawlers for the gears and at the same time upgrade Lola. Weird rant but I think some people may agree with me. I hope Supercell can fix or make something work, I mostly put this long comment here to show my support to Kairos and all the work he puts in for getting the messages across from the community!

#brawlstarslove I feel like they could keep bound gears but move the lvl 11 bound gear slot to lvl 8 like you said but then at lvl 11 add a unbound gear slot so players could have a extra healing gear for Byron in the bound slot and a increase range for any brawler gear in the unbound slot (my idea being that there would be gears specialized for specific brawlers in the bound gear slots and overall buffs to brawlers in the unbound slot)

I already stopped playing the brawl stars right after the update due to disappointment. But what makes me even more disappointed is that all the youtubers I subscribed to pretty much stayed silent about the bad impact of the update. I am pretty happy that Kairos actually spoke out the opinion of the community as I found out today. I might still play brawl star occasionally, but the progress is still too intimidating for me as a casual player to keep making any in-game purchase. I really don't like playing club league game with all tryhards. It just defeats my purpose of playing brawl star as a casual game. Also Tbh, i don't even feel like purchasing brawl pass anymore after I opened all boxes from the previous season and basically got nothing. I’m very keen on this video Kairos, gonna watch it all and would keep giving suggestions : Starting with : improve the ‘free’ daily show power points from bare minimum single digits to a small but decent amount about 30-70ish As for new gears, that’s again WAAYYY too soon, we need to get 2nd gadgets first , followed by waiting to add more gears when a decent majority of the Brawl star community to have access to gears ( I 1000% support the 1st gear at power 8 followed by 2nd at 10 3rd at 11) Club league : I am ok with everyone starting out at bronze 1 . These first couple of weeks the devs are indeed removing the inactive clubs with less than 5 members which I support But once we do cross silver 1/2 I think clubs should be matched against clubs with the SAME NUMBER OF MEMBERS ! This would help to even out the battle without any advantage of extra trophies via extra members. On top of that WE NEED a ‘Nudge’ button that would alert the player to play if they haven’t . That would be great. For golden tickets I DO NOT THINK this is a P2W offer. I personally feel they are a great way to fight against odds by getting 2-4 extra matches. A small tweak in rewarding star points on trophies or just by reducing from 75 to like 50 would help to balance . That’s my take on golden ticket You talked about free golden tickets for everyone, that’s a bit too much to ask but maybe ‘to have special quests that would reward you with golden tickets would be great!’ Legendary drop cap: As a f2p player who has 3 legendaries pending to obtain, I felt hurt when my drop went from 0.81 to 0.25 , maybe just keeping the drop till we do obtain a legendary then resetting to go max at 0.25. Since the progression is improving I wouldn’t mind having a cap on legendary drop rates though 0.2544 feels odd It just feel ‘not righteous’ to talk ill about our favorite devs after working so hard. The community HAS to understand the DEVS do everything to help the community !! Token doubler drop rate should be reverted back to 3% if not more to aid with additional progression for the pass About the cat burglar Jessie complain - it’s just pointless to talk about now, what’s done is done. It was a great experience and really looking forward to it more !! I LOVE THE COMPETITVE SIDE OF ANY GAME ( I do am a competitive player of brawl stars as well) and really hope that this excitement to be shared with the rest of the world( P.S this might not only help your skill level but also remove “bad randoms” 😝) Every game has to follow the roller coaster pattern where some updates might be VERY APPEALING AND FUN while some would be a disappointment. I LOVE brawl stars and would not stop playing it . I am completely fine not “maxing” out my account as a F2P because I AM HAVING FUN!!! As long as you’re having fun and are learning new tricks and skill! I feel having a couple of higher level wouldn’t hurt!! I am really thankful to the devs working tirelessly to make crazy content to the give us I would give this update a 6.5/10 The update had a lot of thing to handle everything together , taking a bite more than you can chew is an appropriate idiom here. I really like this video and it summarizes my thoughts almost perfectly but I have a few issues with you solution to the gears problem. 1. The price of gears should just be 1/4 of what it is instead of the price being 1/2 and the box drop rates being doubled. This way people who opened a bunch of boxes after the update aren’t just getting ripped off with the amount of scrap they have. 2. While I like the idea of having 5 levels, I would actually have it where not every gear has the exact same leveling system. Gears like “get an additional gadget use” don’t really have a clear way to upgrade 5 times, but maybe it could have one upgrade so you could have 2 additional gadget uses. Maybe other gears could just be more expensive and not have any upgrades. But overall I really like your take on this whole situation and I think it’s the most rational and levelheaded take I’ve seen so far

if they really added power 11, they shouldve kept powerpoints we had collected earlier, and only had us to grind coins to upgrade them again with 1250 coins(or more) like they shouldve reduced our power to 9 but kept 890 powerpoints for all our p10 annd whatever powerpiints we had for other brawlers, this wouldve been really good.

I feel so scared for you right now, it is really hard to have a career based on such an unstable source of income, and even though I'm not old enough to live on my own yet, I've seen so many other creators forced to start from scratch after getting banned, or loss in views. Since you are one of my favorite Brawl Stars content creators, I'm tremendously scared of the thought that you might not be able to provide for your family anymore. But about the new update, I think that this is a scary situation, as i have alreayd partially quit. I have only gotten about 35 brawlers, most of them being under power level 8. When I think about progressing now, I just think of a huge wall with absolutely no way of climbing. The Club that I'm in right now doesn't participate as much as others as well, so I haven't even been getting as large of a boost as I used too. And this is really saddening as other clubmates an I have started to bond a lot more over the past year. SOme not just connecting with me well in brawl stars, but in real life and on other platforms. I don't want to leave my club just because my friends don't hve the same screen privilages as I do. I really hope that Supercell does something fast enough to get it's players back. #BrawlLove

I watched through the entire video and I'm pretty sure I agree 1000% The extra zero is just because this video was so big. The excitement level of the game has been trending downwards and this is a big hit to the game. It's funny that the intro of gears is what makes the game a huge grind. about that legendary brawlers thing i dont think its true anymore. im currently missing only 5 brawlers in the game, all 5 legendary. Crow was like the 7th brawler i got and never again i saw a leg brawler in my account. i know im terribly unlucky but if there was a specific number of boxes that garantees me a legendary brawler i think i would've reached it by now. Unless that resets everytime you get a brawler in which case i got my last non leg brawler now long ago so that might be it

I’ve been playing this game since day one, and I barely spend any money on it but I do enjoy and this update really shows how hard it is for players like me to get anywhere close to level 11 let alone maxing out gears. I think it would be more interesting to have a separate mode where you have special challenges in order to get materials to craft and upgrade gears. Maybe even make them work like gears so like have the player slowly building up the effectiveness of your gear as you play the match by staying alive longer or hitting your shots etc. That will kinda show skill gap but I mean where’s the fun right? Or maybe some gears could be like gadgets that drop an item with its certain boost which could be used by your whole team / or like activate and deactivate them during the match to confuse your enemy idk #brawllove

Here’s my problem with Kairos’s suggestion of a range gear. History will tell us that anything that changes a brawler’s range even slightly can take them from worst brawler in the game to overpowered, or vice versa for a nerf. Remember Carl’s range decrease? Barley’s range buff? These tiny changes had a huge impact, and any gear that can change range would be way too hard to balance.#BrawlLove
