I would love to see you brew Obeka. I have loved her visual design since her first apperance and this one is only better. I really love the idea of a chronomancer just breaking time with... with her fists, really. It's a really novel idea.

I’ve been taking a lot of breaks from Magic lately but I’m so glad I picked up my The One Ring when I did. I always feel like I can justify spending a ridiculous amount of money ($10+) on a card if it’s an artifact, *they can go in any deck!*

The desert lands commander is sick when built right. Hands down one of the most fun commanders I’ve built. Just wish we had more sac land effects to use with him (like Zuran Orb).

Canny Acquisit? Yes they can! And they're gonna commit so many crimes while doing it. The acquisition is not legal. Gonti is going to jail for grand larceny and several accounts of felony assault. (Lovely video & deck, thank you Amazonian!)

It's good if you have lots of stolen cards from things like Villainous Wealth. Honestly wish I could play him in Grixis where we have a lot more of that effect.

Well, there are some Hollowhenge cards from Innistrad, and a Hengegate Pathway, but the only other regular henge is the Henge of Ramos. Easy to see which one is great and which one isn't.

54:52 I do actually find this interesting: All the meld cards need you to *own* both cards because, otherwise, you could end up with a permanent with two owners! Ownership of a card is a physical quality of the card itself, even when it's just representing one part of a whole. The magic rules aren't really sure how to handle an object having more than one owner, so they just try to prevent it from ever happening in the first place. Fun fact: This is also why mutate only lets you target things you own! Or, as it's put in the CR, you have to target a "non-Human creature with the same owner as this spell"

@@Amazonian the omniscience clutch grab in that one game was one of my all time favorite moments in brawl history and I often go back to it just to see that one part! Oh well, I’ll keep looking for it and hopefully it’s still out there. I’m loving this new Gonti deck and might just have to add it to my list :) great work

Youre right, we shouldnt have Mana Drain on arena. Nor Reanimate, but those vintage players really wanna do stupid stuff in Timeless, so... we definitely needed them, but we also didn't. Just like Land Tax and Blood Moon!

Just a quick question about gonti, if the stolen spell costs 1 less, wouldn't 1 mana spells cost 0? Or am i just dumb. Cuz the exiled card is any color mana.

You can't reduce the colored part of the cost, but it would cause a 1 mana colorless spell (like a Sparring Construct) to cost 0!

to be completely honest, mana drain and reanimate should not be in arena. or atleast banned in brawl. they are crazy strong for a format that doesn't really have too much crazy fast ramp like sol ring or various 0-1 mana rocks. turn 2 ulamog or 7 mana by turn 3 can be just too damn nutty

Why should it be banned? It's not too bad in commander and there's graveyard hate and counterspells to deal with those cards

I was hoping they would add some of the precon commanders simply because I knew you would have to brew Gonti if they did. I've been waiting to steal this list almost as long as I was waiting for Jasper Flint. What can I say? Bolas introduced me to the world of crime and now I can't stop committing them. *For legal purposes, all crimes I have committed have happened in games of Magic: the Gathering.
