5 WHOLE YEARS MAN, 5 YEARS 2016-2019 Teros was a meme character, and Ulgrim was STATISTICALLY the worst character ever, Queen Nai included. Then axe buffs came, they added special axe dair, lance got fixed (it was nerfed due to Cosolix) AND 5 YEARS, Every single weapon, ALL OF THEM, even schyte and sword got destroyed then buffed again in 2019-2024, even GS is back to being good this year, in 2024 they finally started doing big buffs too, finally after 2021 but no axe nerfs no matter what Either down its damage SO MUCH that its speed makes sense or make it slow as hammer. Hammer is strong too but never do I ever think "Wow that guys is being carried by his weapon" nah fam, every single dude who beat me with hammer was just simply better than me. Axe needs to be fixed. idk why I'm yapping all this to here tho, pav ain't a dev

When I saw your Teros mirror match, it made me think about the last time I had a mirror match. I usually play as Dusk, Reno, or Ezio, and I genuinely can't remember the last time I had a mirror match with these characters. It's sad that in a game with almost 60 characters, we end up playing against the same 6 or 7 over and over again. :(

okay, I won't lie. I struggled to get past platinum rank for the longest, and when axe was buffed, I played terros, and got diamond easily. I can't go back to other characters because I feel like it takes forever to get a stock off the opponent.. with terros, takes about 10-20 hits and I'm taking stocks. Plus it takes such a while for me to die... I know he's broken, but I've main him because of that reason and I can't seem to play anyone else cause the struggle is real. 😅

As a lvl 100 Jhala player, axe was always broken. Even before Kyna won the royale. Everybody just ignored it, and eversince Kyna won the royale with teros, it's been suddenly ''broken''

I’m not nearly that skill level but I feel the exact same way. I’ve got 600 hours over nearly 7 years. And during that entire time axe has been the one weapon I consistently dreaded fighting against. Back when I was shit at the game it was the recovery (and to a lesser extent groundpound) that killed me. Half the time it didn’t even feel intentional on the axe-players part. Later it became the sheer coverage of the weapon. Axe doesn’t have a safe way to approach it, with wide arcs above and below the weapon (Don’t even get me started on the sides). Nowadays its the sheer stats of the dammed thing. With high damage and a fast speed. Of course it also helps that most of the legends using the weapon are pretty good in their own right. Whether that be thanks to their signature kit or stats (If i’m remembering correctly they all have poor dexterity. Which is basically just a plus) I think the worst axe legends is barazza (whom is severely underrated in my opinion) And even there its mostly because of his blasters, not the axe. Overall its still a decent to good character.

At lower ranks you’ll also find wu-shang (unless thats changed since I escaped gold). And if you go even lower you’ll find all the spam characters (queen nai being a popular pick, strangely enough) Its no wonder really. Scythe is a weapon that has the clearest reward for playing well. So obviously it will attract players who wish to play well. And teros… well, teros is just busted atm.

I find the argument of there being too much consecutive games of Axe/Teros in higher ranked games as a reason for it to be nerfed is a fundamentally flawed concept. It definitely can be frustrating to fight the same thing repeatedly there's no doubt about that. However considering the majority of the player base made up of silver, gold, platinum and even the players who don't play ranked Scythe is still found predominantly everywhere across all elo ranges and it is in fact not fun to queue into a fight with mordex, artemis and nix constantly. As you said in the video no one wants to queue into the same thing over and over but thats not an issue that can be addressed there will always be a new legend who will have the spotlight and draw in peoples attention.

@@PavelskiBH I'll use myself as an example but I like in other games playing the role of a tank or a juggernaut as well as in real life I appreciate weapons used throughout history such as in the medieval era you'd find axes, swords, bows, hammers, spears and even lances and cannons were used and I genuinely have fun playing these weapons in brawl and I know that isn't the same mindset everyone has but I have fun playing Axe not because of how good or bad it is but the sound design along with the choreography of the attacks and all the personality and charm from the axe legends really makes me happy. I can personally say that I don't have fun playing scythe but I'm still able to enjoy some scythe characters despite that like Volkov, Artemis and Nix as I've put a lot of time and effort into learning scythe with an open mindset to appreciate what the weapon has to offer.

I have been maining cross for well over a year now, just hit lvl 90 today. I am hovering from 2000-2100 elo in 1's almost all the time and its so unfair that a 7 force legend, cannot kill in red neither with sigs or sair/recovery on both weapon, its just so frustrating hitting them with dlight sair on blasters on the edge in darkish red and not killing while i die from axe sair in dark orange. Please for the love of god stop nerfing blasters for no reason WHICH require skill, top 3 hardest weapons imo. And nerf axe and hammer which are "heavy weapons" but have better strings than blasters sometimes.

I highly disagree, scythe is a very good weapon don't get me wrong but it is not a competitively broke one. The reason why you see a lot of player like mordex cause it has gauntlets and scythe that are extremely fun to play and most players will agree and both gauntlets and scythe arent broken, axe is a heavy weapon that has basically the same attack speed as most light weapons but with a muchhhh higher Dps then a scythe. That's why axe is the best and one of the most overplayed weapons currently while scythe again is very good but played alot due to its reliability and fun playability.

The amount of effort required to play scythe is comparable to the amount of effort required to play against it (with most weapons). I've had my fair share of booty-clappings from good scythe players, but at the same time, the more I play against it, the more I learn about how to counterplay it. With axe, it just feels like the same thing over and over with minimal counterplay, while my opponent is spamming the whole time. It feels like I have to have perfect movement constantly and I'll get punished for a single pixel misstep, all while the axe player is mashing their keyboard. I'm not going to pretend that scythe is the hardest weapon in the game, but it still feels like it takes a lot more effort. I don't main scythe, but I've played it more than axe, but I still get rusty with it way quicker. If I go a week without playing scythe and then come back to it, I feel way off and have to relearn how to space with it. If I go a week without playing axe and then pick up an axe character, it feels just as effective playing axe as whatever other weapon I have, even if I play the other one more.

Complains about every weapon but scythe, which is unpunishable on: N-Light, S-Light, Sair, GC N-Light, recovery (if above), Dair (which hits everywhere). Not to mention all of the "grab" attacks minus D-Light have the world's most pathetic excuse of "timing" because the scythe can be completely inert and IN RECOVERY and decide to still hit. The least skilled weapon for damage. Absolutely a joke. At least it has no good killing combos. That said, axe is a big problem because all of it kills (minus nair and s-light)

I disagree. Scythe doesn't have as much force or kill potential as axe, you have to actually read your opponent in order to get any substantial damage with scythe. With axe you can just spam light attack and kill within like 6 light attacks and maybe a sig (depending on character defense).

IMO, the problem is movement speed, in brawlhalla everyone can DASH FAST AF. Compared to other games, where a Heavy character actually feels SLOW. I think that making movement speed matter more in term of SPEED & DISTANCE of your dashes / The stun duration between 2 dashes would fix the game,

I used to main Scythe and now main Blasters, Axe has ALWAYS been an issue. I never found Scythe an issue, I don't blame people saying its overpowered cause of how prevalent it is, but you need to consider many things such as the fact its a Scythe, it's cool. And new players see it a lot, think its good then pick it up, rinse and repeat and there's probably other reasons I am not including. Axe though? Dude it's just not fun to face at all.

Axe is cringe. Annoying denying it plays it. As much as i hate scythe i can can do fairly well against it. Heck i get destroyed on axe too, im the aggressive type, axe players get passive if they're losing, then its hard to get a hit in as they only attack after u attack

Heavy weapons bring a lot of punishment, which is what heavy weapon players are willing to bear in order to appreciate the explosion. Some people like trivial dexterity, some people like clean, powerful hits I joined this game in 2017, and I used to be a player who only used heavy attack, because this is the attack method that is most consistent with brawlhalla for me, fighting roughly like a man, every time I attack is just to watch Something exploded on the field. One day, my opponents almost completely lost their heavy attacks. Everyone was trying their best to create combos,they push me learn these girly moves. However, I never doubted myself because I never let people die on light attacks. But unfortunately, I learned the scythe much faster than the axe. This means that I may be very good at using the sissy fighting style. I hate myself like this, so I try to add as many heavy attacks as possible.

on average you need 9 hits to kill the opponent. With Teros you need 7. It doesnt sound like a big difference, but it really is.

I tend to agree. About Teros, in particular. Axe. Yes. Also, those stats...holy jesus those stats. 7 attack, 6 defense? Plus nearly half bar of speed? Nah man... Thats broken. If you gonna go with 7 attack, you give it 3 defense. Thats how logic works in alot of games. And you give it also 3 or 4 speed. NOT 5. Just remove 1 point of strenght, add to dextery (becomes 4), like u did. And voila : Insane strenght, insane defense, great speed, and now decent attack recovery.

I actually don't mind Teros that much, unless he hits me with the axe neutral special... I find axe to be rather easy to fight against, so long as I constantly play around baiting out the neutral light attack, and I NEVER give it a chance to hit me from above off the stage. I think katars are absolutely disgusting overpowered though, I could easily just spam down air and side light on katars one after another and am practically completely unstoppable, and when I fight against katars it's just nothing but pure misery and just being forced to run away and hope the enemy misses an attack so I can get a chance to fight back without being interrupted instantly. I do think it's absolutely horrific that BOTH of Teros' side special attacks kill at ORANGE HEALTH though, that's NOT okay! Magyar is SO USELESS against a Teros who knows how to abuse that!

teros is also one of the few legends where bmg didnt fuck up the stats (and they gave him broken sigs and a VERY GOOD weapon combo) like they did with queen nai (she has katars and spear but low dex and speed). like bmg would prob give a gs orb legend 10 dex while knowing that both weapons DO NOT need even 3-4 dex to play. as a gs main i hate fighting axe and ik that ppl say gs is broken but bro axe is undeniably worse ( 🤓).

Leave axe, remove lance. I don't care that it isn't OP at pro level gameplay. It's OP at mid-level gameplay which is where most people are. I'm not really serious in asking for it to be removed, because I don't want lance mains to suffer like that (BMG would never do it anyway), but I do legitimately believe that never having lance in the game would have increased the enjoyability of the game for the majority of players.

Mordex is overplayed because of he is one of the most fun characters since release as it has scythe and gauntlets, scythe is a very good weapon by all means but it is not a broken weapon. Axe is overplayed not because of its "fun" value its played to much because of its broken damage output as a very fast weapon and it shouldnt that FAST as a HEAVY WEAPON. The attack speed needs to be nerfed on it badly. (sorry for yappin)

I think people are focusing too much on the weapon and not the character itself. Terros has two combos that are perfect. #1 high defense and high strength. #2 Axe and Hammer. It's not the weapons it's the stats of the character. People are so blindsided by the weapon that they're not focusing on the character stats. Same with Ulgrim. #1 Lance and Axe damage and spacing. #2 And his stats. I feel like whatever character counteracts scythe and gauntlets people will complain about. But let's be honest most sythe player from what I witness kill themselves multiple times.

Personally I haven’t met the ulgrim and wu Shang kombo maybe because I’m plat but it seems really broken. And axe I feel like the hit box is way too big and that THING is NOT a heavy weapon
