Thank you to the people in the comments saying that they do hurt because I have been so frustrated and confused by these cramps; I know I’m not in labour because they eventually go away and my doctor said they were practice contractions but I kept hearing they weren’t supposed to hurt so I was so confused. They are worse than period cramps, or at least the ones I’ve had are.

Mine hurt, hurt, hurt! They feel like severe menstrual cramps. Surge really bad for a few seconds, then they go away. I am really confused, but my aunt just told me to breathe in deep... it's helpful!

Who says it doesn't hurt? It is hurt okay 😂 and I am going through it now. Usually last to 1 hour. Max 6 hours. Changing the position and take a deep breath usually helps alot. Trust me, it is really pain. I can't imagine how true labor will be. So kids please appreciate your mother.

I’m 37 weeks. The Braxton Hicks contractions don’t hurt, but it feels pretty uncomfortable. I can feel my heart beating right now lol. Edit: Soooooo lol. Those Braxton Hicks contractions went on for hours & became a bit more intense. The breathing did help with some of the pain. I found out later they turned out to be true labor contractions. During the time I assumed they were simple BHC I got up to pee around 330a on Aug 24th to find that I was spotting. I was confused because I never heard of spotting accompanying simple BHC but was told it’s possible for some women. Since I’m in my 3rd trimester, I was told it could mean that I’m dilating & to come in to be checked. Went to my obgyn for a check up later that day to find that I was 4 cm dilated. I was in shock lol. I gave birth at 12:36am Aug 25th. Gosh!!! She’s so beautiful 😍♥️

35 weeks, crying my eyes out. They feel HORRIBLE. Who came up with the word “uncomfortable?!” Uncomfortable is a sunburn or aching after a workout. This is a constant, awful sensation of aching and sudden cramps and your stomach getting drawn tight and it just goes on and on and on 😢 just because it’s not a stabbing pain doesn’t mean it’s not painful!!

When I was at 33 weeks and had my first Braxton Hicks, it felt so painful I thought I was going into labour but my water didn't break and it felt so much better after I change my position. Good thing I was aware of what Braxton Hicks was or I would've panicked at that point but damn, it was very painful and intense

Mine hurt lol it’s like a mixture of trapped gas. Tightening and weak between my thighs and a bit of back pain. In 36 weeks pregnant. More frequent than my last pregnancy but boy do they hurt.

Can these videos and doctors stop lying. just because some patients report no pain doesn't mean that it is the general consensus. They do hurt for some women and really badly too. they are contractions! not gas! they eventually go away, but they do hurt

Thank you. Literally experiencing intense BH and I’m dilated and fully effaced. Can’t go to hospital yet but they do hurt and the doctor doesn’t believe me when I’ve been telling him how intense they can get

I am experiencing the same thing..at first I thought may be it’s my baby’s head because the abdomen becomes very tight like there’s a stone inside, however it becomes normal within few seconds

@@melissasibihwanamugoya1705 you’ll know it’s contractions if the pain is 4-5 mins apart. i had my braxton hicks around 12pm & at 1am it was contractions. & then around 2:30am my water broke & my baby was born at 3:40am. it was on my due date as well. when in doubt call your hospital, good luck mama🥰

Ah, from the comments I’m not sure if that’s what I’ve been experiencing 😅but from the video I think yes. Sharp shooting pain for about 30 seconds then releases. It happens *maybe* twice a day but not too often. I’m only 25 weeks so I’m hoping it doesn’t get much more intense until it’s time for actual labor

Mine only feels like stomach tightening that slowly releases. I’m 7 months. Mine don’t hurt but because of the tightening and releasing, I am aware that it is happening.

I thought it was my baby piercing his tiny limbs into my muscles. I had to pause what I was doing because I just tightened up. Someone said it feels like when gas is trapped, but instead it’s your muscles.

What if they’re happening at random times all throughout the day, are painful with no relief, and last much longer than 90 sec? I’m 35 weeks and no other signs of preterm labor just really painful cramping in lower abdomen and entire back!

Need advice !!! i’m 37 weeks with twins and 5 days away from my scheduled c section, and i keep getting “contractions” my stomach tenses up really bad frequently and sometimes it comes with back pain and cramp like feeling but sometimes it’s just really aggressive tensing that sometimes any stomach looks like a box, and they hit more at night and idk i feel like i should just go in to labor and delivery, doctors told me to go if i feel anything. But i’m scared they are just going to say i’m being dramatic if they aren’t true labor contractions , this is my first

I was getting contractions at about 27-28 weeks and I assumed they were Braxton hicks and I told my dr and he said to go in due to my history. So I did, and they told me I was getting contractions and they gave me medicine to stop them. Now I’m 39 weeks and they told me I’m getting contractions but I don’t feel anything. I know I’m not in true labor but I’m wondering if it can be Braxton hicks. However I know I will feel them when I start dilating and getting closer to labor.

Once my braxton hicks started to feel like period cramps, I knew that I transitioned from having practice contacting to dilating. This happened for me around week 35 and at my 36 week appointment my OB confirmed that I was starting to dilate.

Braxton hicks hurts coming down to your last month in pregnancy do hurt. Because even though its practice contractions it gives u a period cramp feeling in your lower abdomen and buttocks. Trust me im 34 weeks pregnant and once I get one I have to breathe through it until it passes which is usually a minute to 30 seconds.

I’m 21 weeks 4 days and I’ve noticed it happen twice already. It woke me up in the middle of the night. The first time was definitely due to conscipation tho because I was on the toilet but the second time which was yesterday (2 days in a row) it woke me up again and I just massage my right side and the pain went away

I am 24 weeks and I have been having regular contractions all day long too.. It comes and goes every 10 mins. It's not painful and my cervix is closed and thick, so they are not labor contractions I believe, but also not Braxton Hicks either... I have been at L&D for a couple times because of this, but they also don't know what it is..

@@CMDewey33 Hi, have you talked about your frequent contractions to your doctor before? Some people like me have a lot of contractions with no reasons! I was super worried about my frequent contractions and went to L&D so many times during pregnancy, but it was nothing after all. I even had to do induction for my birth and gave birth to a very healthy baby! I recommend you to go get checked at least once and if they say they don't know why and don't see any problems, then you might be a person who has random contractions like me!

So hopefully everything is good! Haven’t had any since then so I’m hoping it’s nothing

I think mine don’t hurt because at 18 weeks I had a cervical stitch (Cerclage) put in to avoid preterm labor, so my Braxton Hicks feel like a build up of pressure. I do 5/6 deep breathes and their gone.
