Acá en Paraguay estamos felices de por fin haber visto jugar a Enciso y a Sosa juntos en el campo, pero nadie está ni contento ni aliviado por cómo se jugó el partido. Hay muchos que creen que así no vamos a pasar de fase. Almirón jugó pésimo esta vez uno de sus peores partidos con la Selección, creo que el técnico ya no tiene excusas para no dejarlo en la banca. En particular con el medio muchos paraguayos estamos en descontento con un jugador del tridente, Hernesto Caballero, muchos creen que el debería comer banca también porque no tiene el nivel. Paraguay se comió 2 goles por pelota parada, y eso es una verguenza considerando que nosotros siempre dominamos el juego de pelota parada. Se supone que nuestra defensa está preparada para lidiar con pelota parada pero en solo 2 intentos nos metieron 2 goles, por eso pienso por ejemplo, que Espinoza no va a ser titular contra Brasil y en su lugar pondrían a un central. Asi como muchos puntos que abordaste, también estoy de acuerdo de que fue una buena decisión dejarlo a Gómez en el banco, los 2 centrales titulares funcionan muy bien. El cambio de arquero hasta ahora me parece bien, porque Carlos Coronel no consiguió tener presencia en la cancha como por lo menos si consiguió Morínigo. Esta Brasil en mi opinión jugó bien pero creo que subestimó un poco el empeño tactico que puso Costa Rica durante el partido. Definitivamente Brasil tendrá que buscar más opciones de ataque si quiere meter goles a un equipo como Costa Rica. Brasil a veces suele pechear en la Copa América, es como si le bajaran la intensidad al trabajo de su Selección en esas fechas, no sé por qué es así, si se que es cultural aparentemente porque la gente en Brasil no le da demasiada importancia a la competencia, y eso parece reflejarse en la Selección.

Glad I didn’t watch much of the Brazil game 😂 I was in attendance for Colombia vs Paraguay. I was rooting for Colombia (no ties) but happy I witnessed 3 goals in total & a good game from both teams. I wanna add the crowd was so dope, the atmosphere for that game was perfect. The reason that the stunt was a completely failure and Ronaldinho had to bomb the thing is because Brazil is really playing bad and people were agreeing with him. After all that they would release the advertisement saying "Abandon Brasil? Never" something like this. Good point regarding Colombia's defense. Lucumí's injury, if it is severe (rumors say it isn't, knock on wood), would leave Mina as the only left-footed CB on the team. And Mina's ball control and passing skills are... not good. He's huge, he's got an attitude (or at the very least he's good at pissing opponents off), and he can score headers, which as this game showed is a fantastic opportunity for a Colombian team lacking clear-cut strikers... but he's just too error-prone to be relied on defensively. Especially if the other CB, Sánchez, is also somewhat error-prone. Fortunately, with this win already in the pocket, we should make it out of groups without too much trouble, even with Sánchez and Mina as starting CBs. But we'll struggle against Brazil, and _especially_ against Uruguay, in the bracket.

Bout team peeps start seeing how excellent this Colombia team plays. I've been kicking around the planet for quite a while and I've never seen a better Colombia squad. They do seem to let off the gas once they put up a couple of goals and that always seems to result in their opponents getting one in the back of the net. But their chemistry, as a team, is both incredible and very rare. This team KNOWS they can score goals so they never seem to sweat giving up a goal. That may have a bit to do with the maturity of their Captain ;) Only other team I see playing like this these days is Portugal. Many parallels between those two clubs.
