There is a great interest or samba queen and this is the reason why we filmed this video. This Brazilian Carnival Queen is called Raissa Machado. She is the Queen of Carnival of a samba school called Viradouro. Just before the Brazilian carnival parade in Rio, the samba schools take the opportunity to practice their samba show at Rio Carnival Sambadrome
At the Rio Carnival Sambadrome, she leads the samba drummers and presents them to the carnival crowd. The samba queen Raissa is 35 years old and has been at this post for 6 years. Apart from devoting her life to the Brazilian carnival, she is also a full-time mother and wife. She attends the samba practices that happen twice in prep for the Rio Carnival Sambadrome. The samba dress is also tailored in accordance to the colors of the samba school, which are red and white to
The Carnival Queen is 5,8 feet tall and weighs 165 pounds. Raissa works out every day and has a special diet based on whey protein to help on her exercise and samba dance routines. She started samba dancing when she was 8 years old. The Queen of Carnival for Viradouro Samba School was also the official Queen of Carnival for Niteroi, the city where she was born and raised. Finally, she said the integration and involvement with the samba community is very important.
