With the pauses you'll notice he does them around words that, as a non-English speaker, he would struggle to pronounce in one breath - the pause is intentional to maintain his control. This guy doesn't need the pause believe me, he is incredible.

I enjoyed your reaction to Gabriel as I do with all the videos I've seen you react to so far. He's my favorite male vocalist with no formal training, just singing in church. His whistle register is as good as Morisette's and Mariah Carey and he sings Whitney songs and Mariah Carey songs effortlessly. He even does higher at times. His version of Demi Lavato' Stone Cold is tremendous and he outsings her. Be well Charlie.
