It's a Roland guitar synth, I think a Roland Gr-300. It has been used extensively by Adrian Belew of King Crimson as well. It's an analog synthesizer, so no samples there. The guitar he plays has separate pickups for every string, so the vibrations of each string can be analysed and translated into control voltages for the actual synthesizer, which is a separate unit.

I don't care if it's religious, anti religious, country, or screaming metal. There's space for all of it in my brain. There's some songs where the lyrics speak to me, but when it's the music that speaks to me.... ohhhh that's something special. I don't care what the words are and half of the time can't even hear the words. But the arrangements, the emotion from the musicians and singers, the intensity, it's just amazing! ❤ Edited to add: just like any group, there are good members and bad. This is the first time I’m seeing them since I left 6 years ago. I never realized how special this choir is. Holy cow
