The original was recorded by Vanessa Bell Armstrong is 1984...all the modern Gospel artists you feature were influenced heavily by her.

For some reason the doc film edited some of the vocals...it's much more climactic on the album version of this track. FYI, Mick Jagger was standing in the back of the church...The doc was shot by the late legendary filmmaker Sidney Pollock, which was really a shock.

This solo transcends notes and moves into pure sound. The solo is a fire fight. You can hear the choppers, the Machine guns, mortars and tracer rounds screaming past your ear

In this a song you hear the story of a young voice saying goodbye to the world and people she has known. It is heartfelt and soulful, and NOT being moved by it would be nearly impossible for anyone with a heart.

It is always fun to see someone's VERY FIRST reaction to vocal maturity of Angelina Jordan's singing. She is a dozen soul singers reincarnated into a little girl.

Man I really enjoy your work and reviews of drum corps so please don’t take this the wrong way. On the closers song to me it seems you are in deep deep analyzation of the drill and meaning of what’s being moved or mic up that your missing the emotion in the music and dancers tied to the overall drill as a whole instead of individual things. Just my opinion. I will watch you regardless and just a thought. Love your work.

You are right Charlie, Simon told, him that he doesn't know how good he is. GH sings with passion that takes you on a rollercoaster emotional journey, which I believe you have witnessed.
@arlenegulley11282 күн бұрын
I was blessed to attend that performance and we in the audience were hypnotized and mesmerized by his entrance and the first note out of his mouth; I got to meet him and he is a very humble young man. GH will always send you on a different emotional journey that you never anticipated, as you have witnessed. He adds his GH sauce and then it becomes his original.
@arlenegulley11282 күн бұрын
This is his original and not a cover; yes listening to GH in his language is a different emotional journey as you have witnessed. I recommend Pode Morar Aqui and Angus 'Dei, you will not be disappointed. Priceless reaction🥰

Vince Gill started this song when his friend, Keith Whitley, passed. Vince then finished it when his brother passed. You should check out Vince's version with Allison Krauss and Ricky Skaggs. I had this sung at my brother's burial. You also need to check Toby Keith's "Don't Let The Old Man In".
