Oof... De vannas shot that led to the deflection was really dreadful. 10 yards out, straight at the keeper and was extremely weak. I'm not sure it would have crossed the line without bouncing. I watch all of the matches and I love them, but sometimes they make decisions that make me cringe. It's really interesting to have a mix of pro/semi pro players, however I get frustrated because I just want to see a string of completed passes once in a while.

But when you are weaker, slower, less agile, less flexible and less aggressive, having hips matters nought. But yes, they are skill-full but comparing them to men only does harm in the promotion of women's sport. There can be no comparison.

this is the problem with soccer and other low scoring sports... here brazil clearly outplayed australia, but there are often not enough scoring opportunities to show this in the sport. a real upset is when a team of less skill outplays a better team and wins, but this is not the case here. it's just a matter of numbers that will often go against the team that plays better.

The Chese Monster it's not that simple, and i'm not just talking about possession. this happens a lot in soccer when the team who doesn't play as well wins. it's simple mathematics... in games with low scoring opportunities teams who don't play as well can still win. this is the same reason why in sports like basketball, ice hockey, and baseball they play many games to decide a series. this is not a new theory i'm coming up with, it's simple numbers. example: TEAM A who plays better in game takes 20 shots on target, 5 of these hit the post. TEAM B doesn't play as well, puts 3 shots on target, one takes a deflection and goes into the goal. *now if you play this game over 10 times, chances are that team A will win the majority of these games assuming they can play at the same level. this brazil vs australia game is not as extreme as my example, but it is the same exact concept.
