More likely, the international media lost interest when they realized it was a silly trick and now, under pressure from his wife, he's back to his day job as a mail courier. He's still trying to peddle his "invention" on the side and he always gets excited when another naive person contacts him about it. It never really goes anywhere but it adds a bit of color to his life.

​@@TheHalusis Of course not. If this had any viability it would be everywhere and Tesla could pack up. It doesn't take much physics knowledge to understand that this is a terribly inefficient scheme. The large set of conversion steps of (1) storing electricity in a low energy density lead acid battery, then (2) using inefficient electrolysis to produce hydrogen and (3) finally burning the hydrogen in an Otto engine make for a ridiculous product of inefficiencies. It also doesn't take much to understand that this isn't anymore "water powered" than a steam powered motorcycle. It's merely a very inefficient and clumsy electric motorcycle that will take lots of charging for a very brief ride. Shame on journalists that had sufficient lack of knowledge to report on this. On the other hand, there is something very endearing about a backwater mail courier making a contraption that gets him brief world attention, viable or not. It would a lovely concept for a movie. If you're interested in actual usable electric motorcycles that are fast and reasonably priced, take a look a the Zero DSR, www.zeromotorcycles.com/zero-ds/ I took a test ride on one and it was really fun! Quiet. instant power, really quick and no need to shift. No oil or other fossil fuels needed, unless your power comes from a coal plant, which are retarded and destroy the planet. If you feel strongly that people should be able to convert motorcycles to electric on a budget, take a look at the e-bike kits for sale on Amazon. And if you want to have a laugh search KZbin for steam motorcycles.

@@TheHalusis Yes, my young friend. The hydrogen this motorcycle runs on is produced by electrolysis of water. The electricity needed to do that comes out of a battery. That battery has been charged from an outlet in the wall of the man's garage. That's the source of the power this motorcycle runs on. I don't think we need to capitalize, but yes, the battery stores the energy. As I said, it's ridiculously inefficient. Is this hard to understand?

As far as I can tell, it's using the battery to trigger electrolysis so that the water splits into hydrogen and oxygen, and then yes you can use the hydrogen as fuel. But would the energy created from the hydrogen be enough to power the alternator and recharge the battery, or would it just stop working as soon as the battery runs out? If it just runs out, then he's pretty much just created an electric vehicle

Technically it is possible. it needs 1.2 to 2 volt to break H2O into hydroxy (hydrogen and oxygen), if u have a 7 plate dry cell with K2O based electrolyte ( 1 lt distilled water and 10 gms of K2O ) u can run a car (800 cc) @ 16 amps supply it can generate 1 litter of hydroxy for every minute. There are lot of dry and wet cell are available in the market which can be used with fossil fuel and it greatly reduces emission and improves mileage. For complete waster based model needs some changes with alternator and spark plug. Thank u all

It's not even powered off of water, its powered off of electricity from a battery, the guy literally says it in the video. The power from the battery is changed into chemical energy in the form of hydrogen, then into thermal in the engine. Horribly inefficient system. Still interesting though, and I'm sure it was very difficult to make it. Hats off to him.

The alternator recharges the battery. The battery's existing charge is only needed to produce the first few ccs of hho and crank the engine to life. I'm confident that the electricity drawn for producing hho is enough for the alternator to handle. I'm going to try to make one myself in a few years, once I have the time and money. If you're curious about electrolysis powered engines look up "the car that ran on water." Its inventor was poisoned to death, and the coronors report suspiciously ruled it as a suicide. We all know oil isn't the most efficient means of energy, yet we are forced into relying on it every single day.

There are no carbon deposits in the oil to degrade the engine. If this fuel is combined with a high compression engine, one can drive on it all day, just like this cleaver Brazilian man does! S1R9A9M9 triple coils assembly shown- used plated #14 gray and red copper wire from riding mower chassis. Circuit has 100% on 7turns Magnetic field as 90 degrees over 5 turns of #12 gauge wire for firm frame for the upper 7 turns. see wire with side tap joint #1 to ground, 6-10amps through plug, accessory spark gap, diodes, Timing shifted to -34degrees late timing by the field, the 6-10amps fire only when plug fires through 13 turns. Joint #2 as Hi V + amps together to plug. Water in carburetor changes to water vapor pressure at low end of piston stroke, along with minute amount of hydrogen gas that also fires. Vacuum pulls only level of water engine needs. Electrical Circuit source of resistance to limit current not known. Battery start, battery removed., Circuit runs on onboard dual alternators - Probably AC for field + DC for spark plug amps, (or Bridge rectifier to get 15 A) . High voltage ignition is negative with positive ground. EGR was not applied on Briggs 18HP as was done with earlier car conversions that used sets of obsolete relays. S1R coils was to replace the unusual relays. He called it electromagnet + booster coils.Original spark plug of 4kohm changed to 125ohm QC12YC Engine ran on water at idle speed and sounds somewhat like a water pump! Parts contained in plastic tub on side of engine with wires coming down from upper engine cowl and all wires wrapped in blk elec tape - it's not just 1 plug wire!. Alternator wires always come out on left side starter motor. Extension cord , if jumped at the plug end, can be the extra long RETIURN WIRE from bottom of spark plug he said was required and back to tub alt wire. See Videos #1 + #2. at slow speed. This is cool, but it's the worst way to use hydrogen. What you have is a mobile energy waster. Hydrogen fuel is best used to generate electricity to drive an *ELECTRIC* motor. These gasoline engines are not designed with hydrogen in mind, and are hyper inefficient anyway compared to the 90+% efficiency of electric motors. You're better off building a new bike and storing a *COMPRESSED* hydrogen tank somewhere on the bike, and generate electricity from that. Cool concept though.

What is the benefit of this? You will need to create energy to run it from the regular power grid to charge up the batteries that will split the water. So this is not a green solution as the grid power is likely to be coal or some other polluting method. Also with current battery technology how far can you drive before you need to recharge?

Hho gas is created with electrolysis this motorbike is not powered with electrical energy. It's running on the hho gas in the combustion engine. The power from the battery comes from the alternator that like in a normal engine is made from the combustion of the engine. So yes you can power a car on water. Turning it into hho and feed it into the manifold. Just like you can power a car off gas. This is no different.
