I would NEVER double process in one day. A lot of stylists will say it’s okay, but it’s risky. ALSO, a lot of stylist use excessive heat, it damages the hair during the treatment. 8 passes of a flatiron on 400+ degrees is never okay, under any circumstance.

So there are different keratin treatments. Some do make your hair straight but some only reduce or remove frizz. You need to know which to ask for. The one that straightens usually has ammonium thioglycolate, which changes the bonds in your hair, this is the one that can possibly cause breakage. The frizz kind is strictly keratin, make sure no formaldehyde, but this coats your hair to protect from heat, increase moisture, and protect from humidity, so no frizz. This may reduce your wave or curl but it won’t straighten, it also washes out and your hair WILL go back to its natural pattern. If it does not it may have been done incorrectly, too many passes with flat iron=heat damage=permanent pattern change.

Ah, this is so refreshing! You know what it exactly is: You speaking about the topic, the title, not evening mentioning any promotion for yourself. I disagree I have been doing keratin treatment for years. The first week or two hair is definitely pin straight but after a few weeks it builds some volume. Peak hair after keratin is about a month later. It makes my hair absolutely perfect and I have naturally healthy hair too

Hi, can I ask you a question ? If your hair is wavy or curly how do you deal with the new hair growing ? I want to try the treatment but I’m scared that after one month I’ll have pin straight hair at the bottom and wavy roots at the top !

I agree it depends on hair texture. Your hair is already very straight (not pin straight) and more on the flat side so all of this will be exaggerated. So, it makes sense that you didn’t love it.

I got a Brazilian Blowout Treatment on July 1st of this year. It’s been 6 months and I can’t wait for my next one. I love both my natural hair and my treated hair. As a guy, it was super manageable for me and I will probably do it once a year from here on out.

I did keratin treatment twice, once in 2018, and another in 2019. I have curly coils and waves, maybe 2C hair? I did it so I can save time on blow drying. I don't like the pin straight look, but after many washes It gives the most beautiful waves once the treatment faded. It makes my hair soft & smooth and frizz free. After 9 months or so my hair was back to it's natural textures, which I sometimes miss. But yes you are right, the treatment is not for everyone, especially if you already have straight hair. But if you have textures in your hair, you'd probably love it because it will smooth your frizz and make it soft. 😍

@@shjr5148 I did it to make my hair less frizzy, it was stick straight for a couple of weeks, but afterwards the waves came back, and after a few months, my curls recoiled, and it stays frizz free. I love this treatment! It's just the too straight phase that I did not enjoy very much, after 9 months, my hair was back to it's natural texture, and some frizz but manageable 🙂

As I already mentioned to you on the video you had this treatment done on Audrey, you didn't need it at all! You already have shiny hair with 0% frizz! Anyone would feel extremely lucky to have your natural hair texture!! 💕 Keratin treatments are mostly targeted at curly haired girls such as myself and other curly haired girls out there 👩🏻‍🦱🙃

You should’ve got a smoothening with botox( if you want straight hair) or just botox. It’s very very less damaging than brazillian straightening and tbh I have done it twice in last 5 years with no damage whatsoever and it lasted me one and a half year almost. Your hair will be better than before until you cut it. Note- your results depends on the aftercare as well as the brand(quality) of the procedure. I will get it done again next month. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖

you convinced me to get keratin treatment, my hair has zero shine, it's so dry despite all the products. I put oil on my hair from roots to ends twice a day and it's still dry after not washing it after 4-5 days. My hair actually never gets oily, it's so thin and has zero weight. It's so hard to give it some weight so it would fall down like yours.

Dear audrey your hair is amazing your hair type is Like Asian hair which means you don't need keratin treatment Mine is blonde European type , it needs care and collagen treatment it works for me Anyway not all hair needs protien or keratin treatment like yours some needs little amino acids and some needs intense amino acids but it's good experience to know from you dear 😊 how did your hair back as shiny and healthy after treatment thank you dear keep going

I got keratin treatment last year and it was the worst decision of my life i have naturally wavy/curly hair so when my hair started growing back it grew back curly so half my haid would be curly and half would be straight i ended cutting off all the keratin last month and although my hair is only up to my shoulders but it is much healthier now

Yeah I would have to agree with you 💯. I was actually surprised when you first got it done, but the way you explained why you did it, totally understand why you wanted to try. I did my keratin treatment in June this year, i miss my regular volume and texture so much, I'm in a weird in between phase (natural hair is wavy curly). I really miss the volume. I think the treatment is definitely great for those who love it, I don't love it and I just appreciate your perspective as well ♥️

Honestly the treatment is meant for African hair, it’s great for 4c hair. If you like your texture you should not get it.

I was thinking of a keratin treatment again, I used to get them all the time as I repeatedly bleached it. But my hair is now very short and straight, and every salon I went to actually refused to do it, saying my hair did not need it. I wanted poker straight hair, and went to three different salons and was told no... then one salon agreed and did it, but it made my bleached hair bright yellow. These days it seems to be all about k18 and olaplex

My hair is similar to yours (very straight, but not 100%). Im all about volume, thats why i frequently cut it shorter (mid-length), just for volume. I do use a round brush qt the ends for the same reason. Cant stand it when its totally straight, because it just swems boring and has no bounce. So i totally understand.

No frizz sounds amazing, but my stylist said a keratin treatment would make my hair so weighed down! I have very straight, fine, frizzy hair. I always get nervous that my frizz is breakage lol. Love your videos Audrey!! 🤍

She def has and tried prof treatments, and her hair condition now is screaming about it :))) But I like how you carefully asked about it :))) You know she is and I know also. It is not just rice water and herbs under the moon :)) I have same quality of hair even longer than hers, bleached blonde :))) Plus I know very well chemistry. And ingredients in hair products and their outcome. So what shows in the most videos is nice for hair but it will be super difficult to achieve her quality hair with random of her videos :))) Ppl want to believe in fairytale and boiled rosemary LOL.

This is a cry campaign Most ppl would kill for a full head of hair that’s manageable and straight And I disagree about the texture being stuck There’s products and blow drying that help create volume once brazilian fixes the frizz for you.
