One of the things I like about these 7 men is that they are not afraid of showing their feelings towards each other. They don't hesitate to hold hands or hug the other members. They remind me of 7 puppies. When they are away from their mother, they run in all directions but in the end, they come back together and snuggle and comfort each other. Magic Shop is "A psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. Psychodrama is often used in group therapy workshops in mental hospitals or other mental facilities to help patients gain insight into their own lives." The concept of Magic Shop is based on the book "Into the Magic Shop : A neurosurgeon’s quest to discover the mysteries of the brain and the secrets of the heart" by James R.Doty. The song is co-writting by JK, RM, Suga, J-Hope, and also co-produced by JK. (WE STAN 7 INCREDIBLY HARDWORKING MULTI-TALENTED MEN) BTS explored this concept throughout their LOVE YOURSELF trilogy of albums, in the teaser trailer for the MV of the song "Fake Love" we see the boys going to the magic shop to exchange their fears for something else, ofc they are all in character bc this all ties into the BU (the fictional storyline that runs through BTS's albums). But they have not only implemented that concept in their music, but also in their relationship with ARMY, in this case, the magic shop is whenever/wherever BTS and ARMY meet. Whether it's in person, through livestreams, through new music releases, or just simply listening to one of their songs at the end of a hard day, any time you need to exchange your fears or troubles in life for a positive attitute or message or sentiment, you can go to the BTS-ARMY magic shop, bc it will confort you. And it is a 2 way street, as we are also a source of confort and reassurance for them, and always have been since the entire industry they come from has always been agaisnt them and trying to end their careers, even till this day, THAT is what they are describing in the song. ARMY has always been their lifeline through all their hardships. That's why they sing "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you" and the fanchant "so show me (BTS), I'll show you (ARMY responds)" I recommend xceleste's BTS hardships video to understand what I mean a BIT better. Edit: 30:47 Yes, everything is connected. Once you really dive into all their discography, specially if you go in chronological order, and you actually take the time to analize and understand each song, each concept, each visual, everything is proof in the form of art of the genius minds of these 7 boys who were just aspiring artists in a near bankrupt label who grew into the 7 amazing men we see today. I personally feel a lot of connection to their lyrics, so my ultimate bias is RM since he has been their main songwriter since debut, but all of them comtribute to the creative process of their music and it's beautiful to see it all come together once you get to know each of their talents separately a bit more. They are, to me, a musical act like other has ever existed and none will prob be able to ever fill their shoes. When you realize the depth of their songwritting, the level of their performance, the quality of their vocals, the technique of their rap styles, their ability to incorporate all of that into one cohesive unit regardles of genre, their story in the music industry, both in and outside of South Korea, their morals and values that are reflected in their words, actions and their art, their brotherhood, their unapologetic thirst for learning and trying new genres, new languages, the fandom they have cultivated, just everything...there is no musical act like BTS.

Something to remember is the symbol for BTS is an opening door. ARMYs symbol is that door from the other side. I love this song. I like to say I was a fan before, but this song had me sign up for papers to Boraland. It cemented my status as ARMY in my heart. Thank you for reacting to it.

Just watching with you and listening along really hit my emotions tonite. "So show me...I'll show you" is a call and response that BTS uses with ARMY frequently even for a few moments at a rehearsal or other settings. They did a whole anniversary theme for their 5th "Muster", fan gathering. They made a fun skit about a "Magic Shop" which is just cute, sort of connected to the magic shop concept but in a cute way. Jimin wrote a song about them being soulmates (Friends...which featured in the Marvel Movie : Eternals)... Tae wrote 4 O'Clock with RM after he and Jimin had a fight over dumplings.... long story hahahaha... they are really close...as are all the members... For me, I feel that each member has a special bond with each of the others... some are a little tighter ....

Otro ejemplo: una vez Jimin dijo que hablaba a menudo por teléfono con el padre de Tae, y Tae se sorprendió porque ni siquiera sabía que Jimin tenía el número de teléfono de éste. Y hay muchísimos más ejemplos de su profunda amistad. Doty. The book is a memoir by Dr Doty, about the lessons he learned from Ruth, a woman he met in a magic shop, one of the lessons or tricks was to open his heart. ) Magic Shop was written and produced by Jungkook, who said: I wrote this song for our fans. Since it’s a fan song, it didn’t really feel like working but it’s a song that contains how I feel and how I love our fans. There were some things that RM hyung said during concert. He said “ if it’s you who found us and Acknowledged us, you can do it too” I started this song based on these words. I love your in depth look at the lyrics and have been watching since you began. You are insightful with both the music and lyrics. Magic Shop is one of my top five BTS songs but I felt sad that by breaking it down in such a stop start way, I felt that you missed the overriding emotion of love sharing between BTS and ARMY in the beginning. This turned around later and you gave one of the best explanations for the "You gave me the best of me, so you'll give you the best of you" lines that I have heard from "Baby ARMY" reactors. I completely understand that you are a busy family man and so probably using up much more time on your channel than you expected BUT BTS fans never think that a reaction video about BTS is too long! In fact, we live for the time when reactors realise this and embrace it. So, where am I going with this, I think it would be great if you did a lyric breakdown after watching the live performance video. Their live performances often don't have subtitles because they are meant to be experienced musically. Of course, you want to know what they are singing about and so to rewatch and do a breakdown lyrically on the second watch, would be perfect, and for that I would recommend the www.youtube.com/@EnjoyBTSmore channel. Of course, this your own Channel and you can run it however you wish but I really want to see you succeed and think this might be helpful. As Jimin would say "You nice, keep going!" 💜

When you talk about Jimin and Taehyung holding hands, you are correct that it's not rehearsed. They show feelings for each other and ARMY freely. It took me a bit to get used to men being able to show affection the way most Asian men will. Also, out 7 are family at this point They have a solo album now, but they are and will always be BTS. They little saved my life a few years back. Now that my parents just past. Dad before my mom. As mom was taking her last breath, I told her it's okay, you have important businesu with Dad Then I told her Lajimolala. Your learn when it's time. You have their music, TV show called Run BTS Not the song, but the variety show. Magic Shop reminds me that even though I have no family and I am alone now....I have 7 men in Korea that I may never meet, and still feels like they truly care about me and every ARMY. This is why we care much about them. BTS and ARMY don't exist without the other. Personality, I think you should watch the entire show or MV then watch or read the lyric videos. Staying engaged with just the music or get lyric videos then watch the video or live performances. 🤔 just an opinion You want to watch how you feel. Welcome to the ARMY as a baby ARMY! Your interpretation is Spot on! It’s rare these days for artists to address their fans directly, and acknowledge that the relationship is mutual support. BTS has always prioritised giving comfort through their music, but they are far from soft. They just know how to empathise. I am a 68 year old woman who has listened to Magic Shop numerous times but until you broke it down and explained it I never really understood it. When you did it hit me really hard because at my age I don't look the same or feel the same as I used to and it has kept me from having quality time with my family and being socially active. The magic shop is not just for them but also for the army. This song helps me a lot when I'm going through a tough time, my shoulder to cry on, and my best comfort. They might be on hiatus/enlistment for now but their music continues to give comfort to armies like me who are struggling in life. I will wait, I will continue to fight coz the army don't give up. I will always have my magic shop.

Espero o dia que vc possa assistir "Spring Day" com a explicação e tradução das Armys italianas e vc vai se surpreender o quão longe eles foram, inclusive comprando uma briga pela defesa da juventude e pelo direito de viver. I cant tell grom all the comments if anyo e has already mentioned it, but there is a wonderful series of short films included in their 5th Muster "Magic Shop" concert that depict them enacting roles in a representation of the psychological "Magic Shop". The entire 5th muster is a must-see, but the prefilmed vignettes confirm (as well as other elements) that they are aware and intentional about the use of the term from psychology. It's yet another deep gift to us

Yes, they went that far😊. It's not in the MMA 2019. They perform there - Intro: Persona, Boy in luv, Boy With Luv, Mikrokosmos and Dionysus. There are also shortened instrumentals/remixes of other singles for each of the members solo performance: No More Dream (V), Danger (Jin). I Need U (Jimin), Fire (Suga), Save Me (Jungkook), Fake Love (J-Hope) and Dionysus (RM).

Haha your reaction on discovering what magic shop means had me crackling up, very funny. Yes they went that deep. You'll discover that BTS goes that deep. For some songs you need an explaination video because otherwise you'll never discover what the song is really about. Examples of that are the songs blood, sweat and tears, spring day and ddaeng. I once did a magic shop in therapy. It's a very interesting concept. I'm getting a tattoo inspired by this song soon.

Thank you for reacting to this song. Yes that's the magic shop and they are living in our hearts to comfort us and yes it;' a fan song they made for army. It's one of my favourite songs and always give me comfort. Also the MMA is a music award show (Melon music Awards) and the 2019 performance is my fav which people have recommended. They do not perform magic shop there but they perform a lott of songs - BOy with luv, boy in luv also they take a journey through their older songs and it with a song called Dionysus (named after the greek god) and I highly recommend you atleast check out that song before. The performance is incredible and if yppu get the references it;'s a whole journey. There's also a video explaining the performance with the symbolism to greek mythology and their albums explained by a channel called Bookish theories it's very cool and you can check it out too!
