I love Magic Shop. It is such a comforting song! It was Jungkook’s baby. He was one of the writers & producers. He said in an interview about it “When ARMY are tired, emotionally exhausted or having a rough time, they can draw a door within their hearts and come inside, and we are there.” The lyrics “You gave me the best of me so you’ll give you the best of you” are so good! Also DJ Swivel, one of the writers did a video breaking down the mix on his KZbin channel if you are ever interested. He also did that on JK’s solo song, Euphoria that he produced. He’s a Canadian so it’s in English.

This is one of my favourite song. I’m not usually into EDM but the bass of this song hits soooo low, and the top line melody is just beautiful. With really meaningful lyrics, it’s in my top 10 all time faves. Yoongi’s part about not comparing yourself to others hits so hard too. “Greed becomes my shackle and leash”, what a great quote. We all need to let go a little and be kinder to ourselves

You now need to watch the Magic Shop skit they did in the 5th Muster. Jimin is the flirty shopkeeper and Jungkook is his sad and lost customer. Jimin tries to help by sending him to see each member who have their own solutions but none of them work. Then they bring in the shoes he wore when he first started in BTS and they bring him the solace he needs. I’ve failed to find it on any channel but you can purchase it from the Weverse Shop. I think it costs under $20 and is so worth it as the whole muster is a delight.

This song is so important and meaningful to the fandom I almost want people to wait till they really “get” the magic of BTS to see what a special song it is. A song written for Army and the amount of lives it’s comforted and it’s whole message makes me just tear up. The idea of them saying “you made us (BTS) the best of us now take that energy give yourself that same love so show us” and the audience “I’ll show you” guts me in the best way. Even just a few days ago V was a guest DJ on a radio show and Army was mobbing it outside the studio and his last song he played was Magic Shop and he was in the window singing this (you could only see him mounting the words) but the call and response was still emotional. And I think we all really really want to go to a live concert Sigh. The hunger games to get tickets and how they aren’t doing any tours/shows anytime soon (except Busan in Oct) guess we gotta be patient. May everyone have a cup of tea and relax in the meantime.

They really said,” You gave me the best of me so YOU’LL give you the best of you.”When I first heard it, I thought I heard it wrong because ,”I’ll give you” makes more sense than “You’ll give you.” But what they’re really saying in the song, is that they know ARMY is strong. So when we go through a rough time, inside of ourselves, in our mind, in our galaxy, we can pull out the strength to keep on going. We showed BTS how precious they are by our support,love, and admiration so they believe that we too, can also learn to truly see how precious we are, ourselves. When I understood the song, it made me appreciate it even more. Together with Epiphany and Answer:Love Myself, Magic Shop is my go to song when I’m feeling down. I can’t even start to describe how these three songs, among many other BTS songs, help me in my journey to real self love. 💜

Magic Shop is my ultimate comfort song. I learned about its lyrics during a really rough patch and you can just imagine how much I was sobbing to it at that time. And yes, it was Hobi and Suga's part that struck so hard. It's true that a lot of times we live so fiercely to achieve things, and later on realize it was not really just about achieving things, but wanting what we do to be of some help to others. That's why failing can be so hard because it feels like failing the people who believe in you too. And then you listen to it again and you hear Namjoon and Jimin saying you have a galaxy inside you, that tough times are not in vain, it's a beautiful constellation. Taehyung saying 'would you believe me if I said it was hard for me too?' and then Jungkook singing 'you gave me the best of me, you can do it for yourself too.' I WAS A MESS!😂Now I go back to this in both tough times and great times. I'm glad you liked it!

This song is just a masterpiece. I don't know if you already know but Magic shop is inspired by James R. Doty's book “Into the Magic Shop”. “Magic Shop” is a psychodramatic technique that exchanges fear for a positive attitude. And I agree with you, because most of the time I just think about the meaning of the songs and when I listen to a BTS song my mind immediately translates the songs and I forget that it is not in English. I've listened to some songs so many times that are on my mind and will never go away. But the fact that their songs are in Korean is very important because I think it's because it's in another language that I pay more attention to it and enjoy it the most. I have to agree with you about Yoongi, Bryan. He takes hold of your heart; your soul. When he raps,/sings, I feel it - on a very real, almost physical level. This is one of my all time favorite songs. The lyrics , the performance, the emotions it brings out is amazing. I can relate to every verse they sang. They all brought it in this song , but Jimin goes on another level when its a deeply meaningful song so does suga. Dont get me wrong they all do but those two for me just know how to move me and bring out emotions that I thought were hidden. I love the message for sure, you helped us get to where we are now its your turn to show us what you can do and we will be right beside you to support you every step of the way.
