Erm, that's MAPP gas, not propane - which would be significantly less hot. The MAPP as demonstrated actually worked fine, per my expectations, though it's not available anymore, at least in the USA. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXiulZadr7l-rtk shows the yellow tank and MAPP label.)
