Catalysts Probably DON'T effect chance of certain modifies anymore Got changed in 3.15 of PoE1, so assumption is same thing in PoE2. I'll probably test it given the shear number of Catalysts and how cheap they are.

Unless GGG changed something, catalysts no longer give you a better chance to get the desired stat , if you read the text it says enhances quality of XX. This is the same on POE 1

Do they not? :o I remember them being a thing for crafting in PoE1 (A while back now) then they appeared on Craft of Exile 2 as relevant on ring crafts... Feck.

Ah yep, 3.15.0 is got removed from PoE1 as effecting weights. Although not 100% clear if it's exactly the same for PoE2 from anything I've been able to find, I can't find anything saying for sure either way, craft of exile is definitely showing them as a component to be used in crafting modifiers.. Might turn out they do a thing again.

This game has the worst of the worst crafting system, is basically not crafting, is called gambling..

If you got everything you wanted the first try there would be nothing to work towards. Hitting a big upgrade wouldn’t make you as excited either. No diff then anything else in life not everyone gets a trophy and you have to put in the work.

It used to in PoE1, then it appeared on Craft of Exile and I ASSUMED it worked again, however first comment has me doubting....

@ Select ring, then select a method (Orb of Augmentation or something) then you get an option to select a Catalyst to add to the craft. Which would be a pointless thing to include if it did nothing still, but could just be bad UI.

@@FswithFarham Ok I see, my guess is that it will show you the value of the mods affected by the catalyst, boosted by the % you specify. But isn't working yet.

makes a vid on crafting breach rings, doesn't know catalysts don't do anything for weighting and you can quality breach rings specifically up to 50% 🙃

I know you can quality them up to 50%. - Craft of exile is showing them with a max catalyst of 20% for crafting though, so I had assumed only up to 20% would effect. Aware it was removed in PoE1... Craft of Exile, specifically showing catalysts against rings though on the PoE2 bit.

You absolutely can replace quality types, I mean it says that one on the tooltip.
