Awwww....I love Bread. I listened to it on an actual record when I was a teenager. This song has always been close to my heart. When my husband and I a couple of years ago were having problems but getting through I heard this once again and sent it to him to let him know I still loved him. We have been married for 30 years now.💜💜

Was privilidged to see them with the then love of my life in Phoenix, 1977 at the Celebrity Theater. Magical. We were so spoiled. Rock hard with Deep Purple, BTO, Stones, Eagles and bring the energy levels on down to mellowing out with Carpenters, Denver, Bread.... So glad the music is still alive for everyone to enjoy.

Love Bread!! David Gates lived in a beautiful, little town called Fall River Mills-it’s in Northern Calif., about 65 miles from Redding/Mt.Shasta-I had moved to a town called Burney and gave birth to my first daughter in Fall River Mills-a friend I met up there went to school with David’s kids in Pit River and she spent many a weekends at their house-my friends aunt and uncle were close with David-she remembers him being a very nice person-Clint Eastwood also had a ranch there called Rising River Ranch-beautiful country-I love the memories from Bread and I still remember all the words-👩

David Gates, the author of most of the Bread songs, was a genius at lyrics and arrangements. He's currently 83, and living in his native Tulsa, OK. There are so many good songs! If, Diary, Everything I Own, Baby I'm a-Want You, etc. The band broke up because they wanted to do more rock. The ladies loved this music back in the day. They did have some rock songs like Mother Freedom, Truckin', and Too Much Love but they weren't "hard" rock. This song was on the radio when I was 14 and I loved it! I still do. I've been married to my lady for almost 42 years now.

David Gates is an awesome talent with 50 years of performing the last song I heard from him was back on the 90's with "love is always 17." To me any way he has a very soft tone and a very distinct sound. I just love him and Bread.
