Breadboarding a Eurorack Envelope Follower circuit

Today we are going to breadboard an envelope follower circuit.
For those of you who don’t know what that does, it takes a AC signal and creates a positive signal that follows along with it, smoothing out all the individual peaks and valleys

Is it possible for a circuit to generate a trig out once a certain threshold or peak in the enveloppe follower is reached?

yes, you want to google op-amp schmitt trigger. Bby changing the resistor values, you can have the circuit trigger and release anywhere you want.

Can any quad opamp be used for basic circuit?

Yes, Anytime you see a dual op-amp in a video of mine, a quad will also work.

Reckless Experimentation Audio LLC Thank you for the response. I was trying to add this to a 9 volt circuit that would use this as a ducker like control for a VCA. I thought I didn't have an LM324 and wanted to use a TL074 but the LM324 works on single rail 9volt.
