Patlabor: The Movie trailer

Set in the then-future of 1999, this film installment of the "Patlabor" franchise focuses on Labors (giant manmade robots) going out of control. Mamorou Oshii, who later directed "Ghost in the Shell", this is a fun, no-frills actioner. Clips of this film were used in KMFDM's video for "Juke-Joint Jezebel".

lol... Man, I was always looking forward to the year 2000, hoping it would be a bit like the future was predicted back in the day ... with all this wild technology. Now you can watch the whole thing online - even on here. Back in the day, I wanted to watch this movie so bad, there was an article in a manga/anime bootleg magazine (basically a magazine printed by a bunch of people and privately distributed in very small numbers). At the time there was no way for me to get it - then ... one day in 2002, it was released on VHS in my country - but it cost about 50 US dollar and was only available via this one store..

Ju Lia ... skip to 2018- heading into 2019, we got access to everything. Better technology, and what comes of it all? A bunch of shitty anime, with a sprinkle of quality here & there. Lol but, at least we can watch the classics in the setting of our homes from phones, PC, and smart TV’s.

@@LisaLisaAusPisa I have the orig VHS versions of Akira, Fist of the North Star, Ghost in the Shell, This and a few others.. You can tell the original versions of the VHS copies with the comic book Manga printed on them.. .... .... I don't have a working VHS player any more. :( As a child watching these for the 1st time... Errr Dominion Tank Police sure was an eye opener.. Esp when the Police used the errr....... yeah..... An eye opener. lolol

Shazam didn’t show anything as well. So, my best guess is it’s some obscure Japanese library music (music made for wide ranges of films and tv).
