HI Y'ALL! We did some dumpster diving at apartments today and were lucky to find some great clothes we'll be able to donate. We also spotted a curb alert on our way home and I'm so happy we stopped! The vintage mugs are super cute and we also really like the needle point (is that what it is?) that was with them. We're hoping it will clean up! Thanks so much for watching, we hope you enjoy and have a great day! x Kelly, Alex, and Bones

Plain white distilled vinegar is my go to for killing mold. Peroxide will kill mold but, less effective on porous things like fabric. I like to use vinegar because it works and its relatively inexpensive. And sunlight is your friend for helping to destroy the mold spores. So, I would soak it in vinegar and set in the sun to dry. Repeat if needed. I love that needlepoint. Definitely worth trying to get it clean. Good luck! You may want to soak those mugs in some vinegar water before running through the dishwasher. Love that rug too. Hi Bones! Thanks for the everyday videos, loving them. :)

Hey guys, no power washer? Go to car wash…clean rug..rinse the rug…put in back of truck..take home..put in sun..it will look brand new. We do all our outdoor rugs ..we have 7 large outdoor rugs..we power washer with Dawn soap..rinse well..drag 3 to back yard to dry. 3 we leave on driveway to dry..they dry well in the sun. They look brand new when dry. We have used the same rugs for over 7 years and they still look brand new. Of course the rugs are all under our front and back patios. Just a suggestion. Good luck. Love your videos. You two are so great and giving. Hugs Betty

When I went to garage sales, I’d find pretty cups like that, clean the cups and find some inexpensive plants to put in the cups and either use them for the kids in Sunday school for Mother’s Day or for friends who are sick or for birthdays. If they come with saucers, just glue the saucers to the cup.

Thank you for picking up trash left by others. I wish people cared more for our world and stopped throwing their trash where it shouldn’t be thrown. Also, thank you for your efforts to save things from our landfills and giving them to others who need them.✌️ “Thirty Second” cleaner is really good for removing mold and mildew from anything. Buy at Home Depot, Lowe’s, etc. and dilute according to directions. Just spray on, wait thirty seconds and brush, rinse or let dry.

The needlepoint piece can be cleaned. Take it off the frame. Soak it in very hot water with Oxyclean. Let it soak for until the water cools. You may need to soak it more than once. Then put oxyclean in with your detergent and wash the piece. I suggest you line dry or lay it flat to dry on a towel. I would not put it in the dryer. I love that you saved the needlepoint from the dump! Good luck. Be sure to show us how it turns out!

I was worried about you ❤😂🎉.. you can set the rug outside.. get a sturdy broom and wash it. And let the sun dry out.. those flowers and roses mugs are from the 80s or 90s. Guys make some vinegar and baking soda paste . And make sure the fabric is wet and spread out the paste and leave it in a tub or sink with water. ..you can use the paste for the cups too. so cute I adore sparrow birds.

Hi Kelly & Alex- Nice area rug! For that size rug, I would put it on your patio or deck, wet it with the garden hose, dump a bucket of soapy water (not super soapy) on it, and go over it with a stiff bristle broom, then rinse it. If you have something to drape it over so it dries faster-that would be great. I use the base of my glass patio table minus the glass, as a drying rack for rugs. I think you can leave the cross-stitch on the frame and wash it in the bathtub. Again, some soapy water and a soft brush. As it's drying, it may shrink a bit and fit the frame better (it looked stretched out). Otherwise, you could remove some of the staples to re-stretch where it needs it. Loved seeing all of your Christmas decorations in your living room!
