This was one of a whole list of US gameshows we saw over here in the UK in the late 1980s to late 1990s. I think we may have got the whole run as we saw both Gene and Joe host the show. I just wish I had had access to a VCR back then!

Rayburn was fired. He wanted to be in "Match Game" mode while producers wanted him to be more serious like Alex Trebek. It was a matter of being a party DJ vs being a tax attorney.
