No one else on KZbin is touching on the psychology of playing guitar and the issues we all face in pursuit of its mastery. My favorite teacher of them all, thank you Klaus🙏

Whoa! New Podcast??? Wow, now Claus is going to be in my ears ALL DAY LONG! LOL...this is a good thing. Love it. Great fun production values in this video as well. Fun and engaging. After finishing the entire video, Claus I think you have really distilled down so many nuggets of wisdom into one discussion. I feel it is brilliant and radically true. The "problems" are really the point of practicing. They are what we want. The fun of working with the problems and then seeing (the always obtainable) results is the magic which is so fun to observe. If the "problem" is overwhelming to the point of giving up, then the "problem" selected was too large and needs to be simplified. You gave some great examples of this. Also your comment about not knowing what we are going to feel or do the next day is a profound realization that most people never talk about. Yes a great goal is a super thing to point to, but it is the daily fun of slight advancements where the juice lies. Don't let what looks like a future impossibility to derail the joy of today's magic and enjoyment. Thanks for making this video.

When you grow on this instrument it will hit you emotionally. Sometimes I cry out of nowhere when I hear and feel myself getting better.

Numbness in my picking fingers are the reason, I use a plastic thumb pick. I can get the job done though, nothing fancy.

Is there any way to subscribe to the podcasts? I cannot find one. Perhaps you can keep announcing them as they come out. I am not an Audible member, but I see I can listen for free. The three there were great!

Thank you so much! Happy to hear that you enjoy the podcast episodes. As of right now one episode is published every Sunday. You can also listen to the podcast on Spotify for free and subscribe there. For the subscription you'll need a Spotify account, but a free one will do. I'm planning on publishing the episodes on Apple Podcast as well soon. If you have an apple device you can subscribe there for free as well in the future 😊

golden wise words , i feel sorry for the musicians who don't watch this video , I mean come on 400 views ? this world is fucked , i wanna add something too , like people have dreams and they wanna be good , but the reason they can't do it is mostly cuz they are doing it for cheap reasons like learn how to play guitar to get chicks or money , they don't have it in their heart in a spiritual way , m 28 and struggling with it cuz i always wanted to have a good musical carrier , but since I don't have a good carrier and I haven't really started yet I wouldn't give up on my dreams , I will use it that excuse to make me find a solution for my age problem instead of just giving up , what people don't have is mindset and passion i think

C'mon man, show us some practical. we get so much inspired by your encouragement but at times often find ourselves running out of playstyles. i am all fired up and really not gifted for a new lick atm...do us a favour dude
@scottjones6624Ай бұрын
In only my opinion, I feel that this video is the most valuable and usable advice I have seen in a long time all in one place. My take away is that instead of getting a new lick from yet another KZbin video, an option would be to take a lick that one already has or knows about and drive it to mastery. There has to be one you love, but you are not really all that good at. I know I have some. Just some thoughts. Claus's video again, only in my opinion, is not about "inspiration", but about hard-won wisdom gained over decades of his career about what works and what just seems to "waste" time. Not a criticism of your comment, just some thoughts.
