Break the Silence: Denounce Bribery in the Health Sector

A growing body of evidence globally indicates that maternity patients are particularly vulnerable to bribery, illegal fees, abuse, and neglect by health workers. Mistreatment of pregnant women - and the fear of mistreatment by pregnant women - is a significant barrier to facility-based deliveries and access to postpartum services.
