Mick said on that pedal show today that we GOT to get John Cordy on soon. And that him and dan are hoping some of your playing will rub off on them!!!! Thanks for doing players/learners requests. Insanely Great Opening.

Honestly the best way I got better at this modern legato is by practicing with only hammer ons. For the longest time I always thought I was picking too hard and only focused on that, when my left hand was the real culprit and I was hammering and pulling too softly. All hammers is definitely a daily warmup routine for me now.

Jesus Christ, this is well played...! I really wish I could do that too. I honestly don't even know what I admire more: this incredibly precise and clean technique - or the inspiration to play exactly these notes now. No matter. In the end, it's the result that counts and I think it's a work of art. Once again! My favorite slice (if you'd ask me right now) 01:11. Thanks for the great video, John. I'm really completely blown away every time by your playing, your tone - and the way you present it all. Thumbs up. A subscription has been there for a long time.... Best regards from Germany. Michael.

I just purchased your “Helix and HX Stomp General Presets”, and I was wondering how exactly I can upload them into helix native because I’ve never done it before. Would really appreciate the help!

do some two note legato with slidey boi lessons. less stretchy boi. convert ben eunson licks to non stretchy boi fingering. also with selective picking. everything to avoid the stretchy boi.

@@johnnathancordy I mean nobody would be interested other than me. But it could be an interesting lesson or challenge to take your 3 nps legato lines and convert them to within a 4 fret range. More 7-10 less 7-12. Again, nobody would be interested though. 😥.

For me the going up is a pain, not because of the pull-off, but prepping the fingers fast enough jumping to the next string. You never seem to address this. Hammer ons are easy, one finger down. Pulling off requires two fingers, if not 3 to align perfectly immediately
